The Holy Kaaba undergoing maintenance—preserving its beauty and sanctity for generations 🤍 خانہ کعبہ کی موجودہ عمارت کی تعمیر میں مکہ مکرمہ کے پہاڑ جبلِ کعبہ کے پتھر استعمال کیے گئے ہیں۔ یہ پہاڑ مکہ کے علاقے جرول کی طرف ہے اور یہاں سے نکلنے والے پتھر کو نیلا پتھر یا گرینائٹ کہا جاتا ہے جو اپنی مضبوطی اور سیاہ رنگت کی وجہ سے مشہور ہے۔ موجودہ ڈھانچے کی بڑی حد تک تعمیر عثمانی سلطان مراد چہارم کے دور میں 1631ء میں ہوئی تھی، جب سیلاب کی وجہ سے دیواروں کو نقصان پہنچا تھا۔ اس وقت اسی پہاڑ سے بھاری پتھر تراش کر لائے گئے تھے تاکہ عمارت کو مزید پائیدار بنایا جا سکے۔ کعبہ کی بیرونی دیواروں میں یہی مقامی پتھر استعمال ہوئے ہیں جبکہ اندرونی حصوں اور فرش میں دیدہ زیب سنگِ مرمر لگایا گیا ہے۔

Have you ever noticed… before Hajj, the Kaaba looks different? 🤍 This is not random, it’s a carefully maintained system that has been followed for centuries. This process includes the annual renewal of the Kaaba’s Kiswah (black covering), symbolizing reverence for the Sacred House of Allah. In earlier periods, it signaled the approach of Hajj and helped protect the Kiswah from damage. Today, it is raised before Hajj mainly to prevent wear from large crowds and to stop people from cutting pieces of it as souvenirs. 🕋 What happens before Hajj? Every year before Hajj: 👉 The black Kiswah is lifted upward 👉 A white cotton cloth is placed underneath as a temporary cover This process is known as “Raf‘ al-Kiswah” 📅 When does this happen? 📍 Every year on 1st Dhul-Qa‘dah 📍 Around one month before Hajj 📜 Historical background This system began during the Abbasid Caliphate 📍 Around 150–200 Hijri As the number of pilgrims increased, this method was introduced to better protect the Kaaba and manage the crowds. 🎯 Why is this done? 🧍‍♂️ To protect pilgrims Pilgrims often try to touch or hold the Kiswah for blessings, which can create crowd pressure 🧵 To protect the original Kiswah The Kiswah is handmade, extremely valuable, and embroidered with gold, the white cloth acts as a protective layer 🚫 To prevent damage and misuse In the past, some people would cut pieces of the Kiswah to keep as souvenirs ⏳ When is the black Kiswah replaced? 📍 Around 9th Dhul-Hijjah (Day of Arafah) 👉 The new Kiswah is placed on the Kaaba ✨ Reflection Even in preparation… there is beauty, wisdom, and protection in every detail of Allah’s House 🕋 💬 Did you know about this before?
