Key lime pie bars! One of my family favorites! Ingredients: Crust: 2.5 sleeves graham crackers (crushed) 1 stick salted butter (1/2 cup melted) Sprinkle of sugar Lime pie: 3 cans sweetened condensed milk 1 cup key lime juice 2 tsp vanilla extract 1 cup sour cream 2 egg yolks 1 tbsp lime zest Topping: 1 & 1/2 cups heavy cream 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1 tbsp Lime zest How to: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl combine crushed graham crackers, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until well combined. Spread and press down evenly in a 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. While that’s baking, in a bowl combine sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, vanilla extract, sour cream, egg yolks, and lime zest. Mix until well combined. Pour over hot crust. Bake at 325 degrees for 18-20 minutes. Let cool. While it’s cooling make the topping by adding heavy cream in a large mixing bowl. Mix until stiff peaks form. Add in powdered sugar and mix. Miss Browns Key Lime Pie Ingredients Graham Cracker Crust 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs 2 tbsps granulated sugar 1/8 tsp salt 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Key Lime Pie Filling 2 cans condensed milk 1 cup key lime juice 6 large egg yolks 1/4 tsp salt Whipped cream optional Lime zest optional Directions Preheat oven to 325 For the crust, in a food processor pulse graham crackers to fine crumbs, then add melted butter sugar and salt Add crust evenly to deep prepared pie dish or springform pan. Bake for 5 to 6 mins or until lightly golden brown. Remove from oven let cool. Make filling by mixing filling ingredients into a bowl. Pour filling into cooled crust. Bake for 20 more mins until the edges are set but the center is slightly jiggly. Remove pie from oven. Let it cool down on the counter for a few mins then cover and chill for at least 2 hours in the fridge. Preferably overnight. Top with whipped cream and a little lime zest before serving.
