Partial knee replacement is not a “smaller total knee.” It’s actually a precision operation in a very small space. I’m only resurfacing the damaged portion of the knee — often an area about the size of two fingertips. That means every millimeter matters. Too much bone removed → the implant sits wrong. Too little → the arthritis pain remains. The robotic arm does NOT perform the surgery for me. It works as a guidance system. It places guardrails around the planned cut so I can stay exactly within the safe boundary while preserving normal bone and ligaments. In my technique, I use: • a guided oscillating saw for the flat surfaces • a high-speed burr for fine shaping and form preservation The goal isn’t aggressive bone removal. The goal is removing arthritis while keeping your natural knee mechanics. When the implant fits accurately, the knee often feels more normal than a full replacement — because most of the knee is still yours. Not everyone is a candidate, but for the right patient, a partial knee can be one of the most satisfying surgeries we do. Not everyone with knee arthritis needs a full knee replacement. 🦿 The knee has three compartments — medial, lateral, and patellofemoral. In many patients, arthritis affects only one compartment. In such cases, a Partial Knee Replacement can be a better and more precise solution. In this procedure, only the damaged portion of the knee where the cartilage is worn out is treated. The affected area is carefully resurfaced and replaced with an implant, helping reduce pain, improve movement, and prevent further wear and tear between the bones. With the advancement of robotic technology, implant placement has become more accurate and personalized. This precision improves alignment, enhances implant longevity, and supports faster recovery. Partial knee replacement is no longer just a temporary solution. For patients with isolated compartment arthritis, it is a definitive and long-lasting treatment that preserves the healthy parts of the knee and allows a more natural knee function. #KneeReplacement #PartialKneeReplacement #OrthopedicCare #RoboticSurgery #JointHealth

Story Telling:- We once talked to a person who had given up almost everything they loved. First, they stopped going for morning walks. Then, they stopped playing with their grandkids on the floor. Eventually, they stayed home because "the stairs weren't worth it." They weren't just losing their knee; they were losing their freedom. When we talked about a knee replacement, they weren't scared of the hospital. They were scared of the unknown. But here are 3 facts that change everything: ✅ It’s not a "robot" knee: Surgeons today just "resurface" the bone. It’s a custom fit designed to move exactly like a human joint. ✅ The "Good" Kind of Pain: Yes, rehab takes work. But that soreness means you are getting stronger, unlike the "bad" arthritis pain that just gets worse. ✅ High Success: This is one of the most common surgeries in the world. Most people wish they had done it sooner! The Result: This person finally decided to go for it. They realized they weren't just getting a new knee—they were getting their life back. The Moral: A few weeks of recovery is a small price to pay for years of walking, dancing, and playing again. Don't let fear take away your future. 🏃♂️✨ Are you living your life, or are you just "getting by" with the pain? How Knee Replacement Is Done 🦵🔧 In knee replacement surgery, damaged cartilage and bone are carefully removed from the knee joint and replaced with a smooth metal-and-plastic implant. This artificial joint restores alignment, reduces pain, and brings back movement—helping patients walk, bend, and live comfortably again. It’s precision engineering meets medical science. #KneeReplacement #OrthopedicSurgery #MedicalScience @bitzcasino

Most people think knee replacement means removing the entire knee. It doesn’t. We remove thin damaged surfaces and rebuild the joint with smooth materials so the bones no longer grind on each other. Understanding surgery reduces fear — and calm patients recover better. If this helped you understand it better, save this for later or share it with someone considering knee replacement. — ArthroGuy #KneeReplacement #ArthritisRelief #OrthopedicSurgeon #JointReplacement #ArthroGuy

ALTERNATIVES TO TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENT — WHAT CAN A 70-YEAR-OLD DO? In advanced knee osteoarthritis with significant varus deformity, a total knee replacement often gives the most predictable long-term relief (10–15+ years). But many patients feel anxious about surgery and stop moving — which worsens stiffness, muscle loss, and pain. The goal is to keep you moving safely while preparing the knee and body for the future. WHEN KNEE REPLACEMENT IS IDEAL • Severe cartilage loss with deformity • Persistent pain affecting walking and sleep • Failed rehabilitation and injections Joint replacement remains the most durable option when alignment and degeneration are advanced. INTERIM OPTIONS IF YOU ARE NOT READY FOR SURGERY 1️⃣ ARTHROSCOPIC + BIOLOGICAL SUPPORT • Arthroscopic washout with radiofrequency ablation may reduce inflammatory load in selected cases • Bone marrow concentrate or fat-derived biologics aim to improve the joint environment Best suited for patients wanting to delay surgery while improving mobility. 2️⃣ INJECTION-BASED OPTIONS (LESS INVASIVE) • Hyaluronic acid — lubrication and symptom relief in mild–moderate stages • PRP — may reduce pain and improve function in selected patients • Ozone — used as an adjunct in some regenerative protocols • Genicular nerve block — targets pain pathways to improve activity tolerance 3️⃣ THE FOUNDATION — REHAB & LIFESTYLE No injection works without: • Weight reduction • Quadriceps and hip strengthening • Better sleep and recovery Improving muscle mass reduces joint load and can make a future knee replacement last longer. KEY MESSAGE Avoiding movement because of fear of surgery can worsen outcomes. Interim procedures are not a replacement for knee replacement when it is truly needed — but they can reduce pain, restore confidence, and help you build strength so that any future surgery is safer and more successful. #KneePain #Osteoarthritis #KneeReplacement #SportsMed

Struggling with severe knee pain? 🦵 Knee Replacement Surgery helps relieve chronic pain and restore mobility by replacing the damaged joint surfaces with a durable artificial implant. During the procedure, worn-out cartilage and bone are carefully removed to improve alignment, stability, and smooth movement. With early diagnosis and proper physiotherapy, recovery can be faster and more effective. If persistent knee pain is affecting your daily activities, consult an orthopedic specialist today. LETS DISCUSS PARTIAL KNEE REPLACEMENT IMPLANTS In a partial knee replacement, one of the key parts is a plastic liner that sits between the metal components. This plastic piece is not meant to lock in one rigid position. It is designed to move and slide slightly, because your knee is not a fixed hinge. A healthy knee naturally allows controlled gliding as you bend and straighten it. That small sliding movement is actually a good sign. It helps the knee feel more natural during walking, sitting, and climbing stairs. It also spreads the load more evenly across the joint, which can reduce stress on one spot and improve comfort. In a partial knee replacement, only the damaged compartment of the knee is resurfaced. That means more of your natural knee structures are preserved, which can help the knee feel more normal for the right patient. The final goal is simple: smooth movement, stable support, and a knee that works comfortably in daily life. #partialkneereplacement #kneesurgery #kneepainrelief #orthopedics #jointhealth #patienteducation

One of the most common things I hear after surgery: “I wish I didn’t wait so long.” People wait because they believe the knee replacement has an expiration date. But modern studies show ~90% are still functioning 20 years later. The real risk often isn’t the implant wearing out. It’s losing years of mobility, independence, and confidence while living in pain. You don’t have to be bedridden to be a candidate. You just have to be losing your quality of life. so many people ask about my 2 Total Knee Replacements- so here it is I chose to have no sedation for either, so I could watch them be cut out & 34 years of extreme pain removed so every drill, chisel, hammer, screw & saw was weirdly “enjoyed” as i was thrown round the operating table absolute life changer.. if you have historic sports injuries get them done !!!
