6.5 years. One last drive in. One laptop to drop off. This is day one of whatever comes next. #TheDadTeej #Layoff #DayInMyLife #GirlDad #Tesla

I got laid off from Google recently and I don’t know what to do or how to feel. Friends have told me to take some time to process but I feel like I don’t have time to process. I need to find another job, figure out health insurance, layoff logistics, interview prep, fix my resume, move back in with my parents?? and like a million other things. I see a lot of people online saying that getting laid off was the best thing that has happened to them but that’s not the case for 99% of people. If you’re laid off with 500k in savings, a booming social media, partner/parents to take care of you, a side hustle that’s making you money etc, then sure, maybe you can bet on yourself and take some time to process but most people can’t. Now I know I am in a fortunate place and do have some savings from working in tech for 3 years but as an only child from an immigrant family who is trying to support and retire his parents, I feel an immense pressure to find another job as quickly as I can. I’m worried, anxious, scared, shocked, and feeling a bunch of other emotions but I can’t dwell on it. The work needs doing and I need to grind because time is ticking. In an era of big tech layoffs, I hope to share what life is like after layoffs and document my job search process here to show what it actually looks like after getting laid off and NOT going all in on myself and end up homeless. note: if you know me/my family personally, please don’t tell my parents 😅😅 #techlayoffs #layoffs #laidoff

30,000 people laid off from Oracle, and yet, they just hired a new CFO with a $950K salary… And people ask why I don’t just go back into the corporate system. I think it’s quite obvious at this point that they don’t give a f*** about us and there is no job security, so why work your ass off to create wealth for someone else. To the 30,000 that got laid off (and others in the same boat), I want you to know that your worth is not tied to that job. The corporate system was never designed to protect you. Your skills are valued elsewhere. And this isn’t the end of your story, it might be the beginning of the best chapter yet. 🤍 #laidoff #careerpivot #lifetransition #newbeginnings

All of these give me major corporate ick I just KNOW a layoff or a firing is pending with these. On the contrary, managers need to do a better job of giving real actionable feedback rather than just avoiding the person and pulling stunts like these. #getfired #layoff #career

@your.richbff wants to remind you that there is NO SHAME in being laid off. It happens to some of the best employees! These 4 steps will help you get back on your feet in short order! . . . . . #money #finance #budget #budgeting #save #saving #savemoney #savingmoney #invest #investing #learn #learning #wealth #rich #career #job #corporate #boss #9to5 #layoff #laidoff #jobhunt #interview #work

Here is a raw and unfiltered look into how life has been for me so far, 1 week after getting laid off. I thought I would jump right back into interview prep the day after I got laid off, but week 1 has been a lot more logistical and just dealing with this feeling of “having free time” but also having so many things I needed to do that it’s been a bit paralyzing. I haven’t created a new routine and structure for myself yet, something I’m still actively working on, it’s just been weird honestly. If you want to see how I’m navigating this, job search, daily life, and more - follow for more!

Getting laid off was the last thing I expected from the start of 2026 but here we are. During my job search, someone told me that they’ve only landed something better after being laid off multiple times in their life and it couldn’t have been more true. So excited for my new chapter and to take you along! #job #layoff #usa #lifeabroad #tech
