Not scared to admit.. I don’t like free parting! 🤷🏽‍♀️ For me it leaves too much room for mistakes and uneven braids. I wasn’t blessed with the best eye sight so my braids would definitely be doing the shoulder lean if I skipped this step! 😭 But I’ve learned that parting the head into subsections makes it so much easier than trying to part it all at once! 😭 Running out of space in the back for braids is really common because of how small of an area it is back there! Here are some helpful tips! ⬇️ ✨I recommend always starting with a part straight down the middle so that the left side is always a mirror of the right side. ✨Section the base into smaller parts to ensure each braid lays flat and feels comfortable for the client. Once the base is set, continue working your way upward! ✨Secure each section with clips so it’s easy to see if everything lines up!
