❌ Stop Making These Leg Curl Mistakes! 1️⃣ Feet Too Far Apart Keep your feet hip-width apart to maximize leverage and hamstring activation. 2️⃣ Pad Set Too High If the pad’s on your lower calves, it’s too high. Adjust it so it sits just above your heel bone (Achilles area) for proper force transfer. 3️⃣ Hands on Your Lap Don’t rest your hands — grab the handles to stay locked in and maintain control. 4️⃣ Torso Leaning Back A reclined torso puts your hamstrings in a shortened position, which isn’t ideal for hypertrophy. Instead, set the backrest so your torso stays upright, placing your hamstrings in a more lengthened position for better growth stimulus. 5️⃣ Butt Lifting Off the Seat If your hips come up, you’re losing power and risking injury. Keep your glutes glued to the pad the entire rep. Size & Shred Training program 👉🏻 deltabolic.com #legcurls

✅ Leg Curl Form Tips (DO THIS! 1) Adjust the Roller Pad: Position the pad just above your heels, resting on your Achilles tendon (between your heel and calf). Avoid placing it on your calves, as this reduces your range of motion. 2) Set the Lever: Start with your legs fully extended in the highest position you can comfortably manage. This setup ensures you maximize the range of motion. 3) Optimize the Seat Position: Sit upright (or lean slightly forward to place your hamstrings in a more stretched position). Avoid leaning backward, as this shortens the hamstring muscles (not ideal for hypertrophy). 4) Grip the Handles: Hold the handles firmly to maintain stability and proper posture during the exercise. 5) Keep Your Hips Down: Avoid lifting your butt off the seat during the curl. Doing so shifts tension away from the hamstrings and limits your range of motion. Size & Shred Training program 👉🏻 deltabolic.com (link in bio) #legcurl #legcurlmachine

Did you know you are sabotaging your hamstrings without even realizing it? Let’s fix the 3 most common mistakes with hamstring machine curls! 1. Ego lifting. Stop using heavy weight if it’s pulling your hips off the pad! Keep your form tight for real gains! 2. Speeding through the reps. Hamstrings need time under tension. Slow it down and feel every rep! 3. Cutting your range of motion short. To maximize hamstring activation, curl all the way up and stretch fully down! If your gym doesn’t have a standing single leg curl, you can do them on the leg extension machine!! Put a pair of 10 lb plates to stand on and face the machine. This allows you get a far enough range of motion where it stretched the hamstring and mimics doing the single leg curl machine. I prefer to do these towards the end of a leg workout to isolate your hamstrings. You don’t need to go heavy on these, just concentrate on form. #JOINBETTERBODIES 💥 I WANT TO HELP YOU TRANSFORM Get started with the Better Bodies Coaching App today. 💥 WHAT YOU GET: ✔ Structured workout program ✔ Ab routines built in ✔ Supplement guidance ✔ Step-by-step coaching + accountability All in one place. 💥 ONLY $48/MONTH No contracts. 🔥 #fitnesstipps #legcurls #legday #fitnesstips #hamstringworkout

I WAS DOING THIS WRONG THE WHOLE TIME… 🥲 Until my gym friend, Madeline, gave me this very simple tip (AND GAME-CHANGING!!) for seated leg curls! I wish I knew this hack earlier!!!! This series is for all my girlies who want to feel strong and confident with their form in the gym. 💖 If you’re new here, welcome! I’m so glad you’re here 🫶🏽 I used to barely feel anything on the seated hamstring curl machine, but now my hamstrings and glutes are finally ✨on fire✨ Here’s the hack(s): 1. Instead of sitting straight back, ✨lean forward slightly✨ at the hips 2. Keeping your spine neutral (AVOID ROUNDING YOUR BACK when leaning forward). It’s like getting a stiff-leg deadlift stretch, but seated and without back pain) WHY IT WORKS: That forward hinge creates a deeper stretch in the hamstrings, it means more muscle activation. Your hamstrings will thank you! HOW TO DO IT: 1. Hold the front handles or hug them for support 2. Hinge slightly forward at your hips (neutral spine!) 3. Flex your feet + drag the heels under you 4. Control the movement all the way through!! TEMPO TIP: Lower the weight in 1 second, hold the bottom position for 3 seconds, then slowly return back up in 3 seconds. Which machine should we break down next? SAVE this for your next leg day! Who’s ready to feel those hamstrings burn? 🙋🏾♀️ #legcurls #glutegains #gluteworkout #rdltutorial #hamstringworkout #hamstringcurls #legdaytips #gymhacks #gymmistakes #gymtips #fitnesstips #fitnessjourney #legdayhack #gymroutine #buildthebooty #workoutmotivation #gymgirls #gymbeginner #workoutplan #fatlossjourney #beginnerfitness #womenwholift

seated leg curl machine with a slight bend at the hips, which is actually an effective variation. Why a Slight Forward Bend Can Be Better Than Staying Fully Upright: 1. Improved Hamstring Stretch: • The hamstrings cross both the hip and knee joints. • When you slightly bend forward (hip flexion), you increase the stretch on the hamstrings — especially on the long head of the biceps femoris. • This greater stretch means the hamstrings are under more tension during the curl, which can lead to better muscle activation and growth. 2. Reduced Risk of Compensation: • A slight forward bend can help prevent the lower back from arching excessively. • It keeps the pelvis in a more stable position, encouraging better form and reducing strain on the lumbar spine. 3. Increased Range of Motion (ROM): • You may find it easier to fully contract and lengthen the hamstrings when you’re not locked into a straight, upright position. 4. Mimics Athletic Movements: • In sports, hamstring contractions often occur when the hip is flexed (e.g., during sprinting). • Training in this position helps build functional strength. Pro Tip: If your machine doesn’t allow much movement at the hips, you can still get similar benefits by adjusting your posture slightly forward and making sure the pad is properly aligned above your heels. Certainly!
