Try this setup ⤵️ 3 lights are all you need! (One is enough, but let’s spice things up a little) 1. Key light: Your main light source. Get it close and set your WB for it. ☀️ 2. Rim light: To separate yourself from the background. 💡 3. Background light: It separates you from the background even more, adding color and/or texture to make it more interesting. 🔦 Comment “setup” to get this lighting scheme and other content creation resources as part of my database, which I update 1-2 times a month! (It’s free) 90/365

MY favorite lighting setups 📸🫶🏾 - Lighting setups matter, photography is literally nothing but controlling your lighting and these setups should help you achieve some of the more basic looks! The first setups is what I use to use all the time and it’s very simple but very effective, use a backlight as welll to pop the subject out 📸 The second setup is a dramatic type of lighting setups using one light, you could use a back light as well but I primarily just like the one light look. It create more dimension to the photo with the shadows and shows you’re being more intentional with what you’re shooting 📸 The third setup is my new bread and butter, instead of using a reflector at the bottom I just use another light to fill in majority of the shadows from the first light and when I tell you it creates some amazing looks, I promise it’s crazy📸 The fourth setup is mainly for headshots! The hair light is optional but I like using it like that because it hits the shoulders and the head now causing a need for much of a back light 📸 The honorable mention, the optical snoot. Very self explanatory and fun to use for people who don’t know how they want to add flare to their shoots! 📸 Get out there and use these setups guys, Good luck! 📸 - Drop a “ ⚙️” emoji for my full equipment list! - If you want a more in depth version of this tutorial or just want to see more BTS of my shoots and learn how I do what I do,comment “📸” See you in there 😉 - Remember: these tips and tricks are all just things that I do, My opinions. Just because I do things this way doesn’t mean you have too as well 😉 - Share this with a photographer or videographer that needs to hear this! Cop my retouching pack!
