Lists for life ✌🏽 Do you remember always writing lists as a kid? I had so many journals and note books full of lists. My favorite friends, my favorite song, my favorite band, my favorite books….you get it. For me, this was fun and as teenagers, well, we all did it. As I got older, my lists continued. They became the things I needed to get out of my head in order to keep calm. They were my to-do lists, bills that I had to pay, my goals for the day, week, month. Putting pen to paper decreased my mental clutter and the list signalled to my mind that we had started. The list was step 1, so let’s go. I had already started without even knowing :) Now I could focus and get things done. More importantly for me, lists have helped me deal with life when it felt too overwhelming. Because life does get like that at some stage, for all of us. They have helped me manage depression and low self-esteem when it threatened to become all too much.
