This is what I think of whenever someone tells me my snakes are evil. Stella and April O’Neil. Both of these girls maternally incubated their eggs (Stella last year, April O’Neil this year). Neither of them ever bit or even attempted to strike while tending to their babies. On the contrary, they were incredibly gracious in allowing me very near and sometimes even into their nests to monitor, get vids, offer water, etc. They even tolerated my interacting with them and their babies as the eggs were pipping and babies began to emerge. Their level of tolerance and capacity to trust will never cease to amaze me. No evil. No hate.
