💥The Stiff Finger - Pseudo Claw Deformity💥 ▪️Pseudo claw is a claw like presentation of the finger due to PIP contracture and/or tendon adhesions (often from a metacarpal or proximal phalanx fracture) resulting in compensatory MCP hyperextension and IP flexion. ▪️It is similar in appearance to a claw hand that you may see with a deficient ulnar nerve, however the pseudo claw is not nerve related ▪️Serial casting was used to straighten the finger with amazing results! ▪️Since achieving full ROM and strengthening the fist were also goals, some of the exercises incorporated were finger flexion/extension with putty, dowel gliding for ROM/dexterity, intrinsic strengthening, and a PIP/DIP strap to obtain the end range hook fist ▪️If finger extension is weak or lagging, “reverse blocking” and other isolated extension exercises could be used! ‼️ These are just a few of the myriad treatment options available and were part of a larger hand therapy program - each case will be different requiring its own unique approach ‼️ #handtherapy #anatomy #hand #handrehab #handrehabilitation #handanatomy #handexercise #occupationaltherapy #physicaltherapy #physiotherapy #handtherapist #certifiedhandtherapist #handinjury #fracture

Isme thumb side ke muscles weak ho jate hain aur thumb palm ke same line me aa jata hai. Signs & Symptoms * Thumb opposition weak * Thumb abduct nahi hota properly * Grip weak ho jati hai * Thenar muscle wasting * Pen pakadne me dikkat Physiotherapy Treatment 1. Thumb Opposition Exercise Thumb ko little finger ki tip se touch karna. 10–15 reps × 2–3 sets 2. Rubber Band Thumb Abduction Thumb par rubber band laga ke bahar ki side move karna. 10 reps 3. Tendon Gliding Exercise Finger movement improve karne ke liye. * Straight hand * Hook fist * Full fist * Table top 4. Soft Ball Squeezing Grip strength improve karta hai. ⏱ 5 sec hold × 10 reps ⸻ 5. Median Nerve Gliding Nerve mobility improve karne ke liye useful. Splinting * Opponens splint use kiya jata hai thumb position maintain karne ke liye.
