📚 I almost gave up on this journal… My 2024 memory journal was one that felt like a chore some weeks and I wasn’t planning on keeping one this year. Looking back through these pages though, I realise how this memory journal is actually a valuable treasure to keep for years to come. You can see through 2025, I started to spend less time decorating the pages, but the record of day-to-day life is still there. The mundane, small things, struggles and sparks of happiness we have experienced as a family this year. I love that although I have a camera roll bursting with ‘fun’ memories - this written version of events is definitely more true to life - squabbles and all. If you haven’t tried a memory journal before, it doesn’t have to be decorative, just a few sentences a day. You can use a dot grid journal or spare planner (dated or undated). I tried to keep consistent by adding to it daily - leave it open somewhere you will notice it in the evening perhaps. My photo journal. 10 favourites memories from each month compiled together at the end of the year. It gives me the opportunity to have fun, paint, doodle and reflect. My original plan was always to do it every single month but that idea quickly fell through. • STEPS: Printing - I chose the @canoncanada Ivy printer for the zinc sticker sheets because it’s super easy and the girls get into it as well. Pro Tip: brighten each photo A LOT for best results with this printer. Memory Book - Choose a book with watercolour paper if you plan to paint. I got mine from @opusartsupplies Paints - I use the kids acrylic paints and my sisters collection as well. Don’t overthink this part, just have fun! Let me know if you have any questions!
