There is a very easy way to determine if your milk glass is antique. Before 1960 milk glass was made with iridized salt which will turn orange, blue, and green when in natural light. If you see this change of color it is called the “ring of fire”. After 1960 milk glass changed and it no longer will light up in the sun. I love milk glass, so when I found this new little candy dish I had to get it.
