☀️Week 1 Postpartum Exercise for C-Section Mama’s☀️ Where are my c-section mamas at?! 🙋🏽‍♀️ First and foremost - you do NOT need to start movement week 1 if you are not feeling up to it. But one thing to keep in mind, movement is healing. After many other surgeries, we start physical therapy right away, so in the case of a c section, movement soon after can help along the healing process 🙌🏻 The biggest thing to keep in mind is the healing stitches. We can gently stretch them and move, but we don’t want to be too aggressive. So take it easy! 🧘🏽‍♀️ listen to your body 🤍 1. Breathing - as always….but so important post operative. Think of breathing into pelvic floor and sit bones and all the way around the rib cage. 2. Quadruped breathing - having gravity can help you feel things differently 3. 1/2 kneel reach - helps to open up the side but you’re not trying to stretch anything to the max. It is a GENTLE stretch 4. Seated rotation - this can help with the stiffness but not overstretch the incision 5. Glute/hamstring opener - with the incision, the core can be a lot weaker, so the glutes tend to take over which causes tightness and discomfort. Give yourself lots of grace and just initiate movement as it feels good! Tag 🎯 and share ✉️ with a friend who could use this 💕💕 . . . #csection #csectionrecovery #csectionscar #cesareanbirth #postpartumrecovery #postpartumfitness #postpartumexercise #postpartumfitnessjourney #postpartumjourney #pelvichealth #pelvicfloorphysicaltherapy #pelvicfloordysfunction #fitpregnancy

🔥 THE STRETCH YOU NEED TO DO EVERY MORNING 🔥 Most of you don’t stretch — and honestly, I get it. But if you only did ONE stretch every morning, it should be this one. This is essentially the human cat stretch — and there’s a reason why you’ll see your dog or cat instinctively do a version of this as soon as they wake up. It’s hardwired into us. This is how animals reset their bodies and prepare their nervous systems for movement — and we need to be doing the same thing. 👉 Here’s why this stretch is so powerful: ✅ Strengthens your hands, wrists, shoulders, and core ✅ Mobilizes your hips, spine, and shoulders ✅ Stretches your back, hamstrings, calves, and ankles ✅ Decompresses your spine and improves posture ✅ Increases circulation and wakes up your nervous system ✅ Relieves tension and reduces stiffness from sleep Most of us wake up stiff and tight because of how much time we spend sitting, hunched over screens, or locked into poor postural habits. This stretch immediately combats that by opening up your body and improving blood flow — which can have a huge impact on your energy levels, mood, and even mental clarity throughout the day. 💥 How to Do It: Start with 10 reps every morning. Breathe deeply and let your body sink into it. You’ll feel your spine, hips, and shoulders open up immediately — and after a week, you’ll notice a real difference. Your body was made to move like this — if you’re not doing it, you’re leaving strength, flexibility, and energy on the table. 🔥 If you want to move pain-free, build strength, and get in the best shape of your life, hit the link in my bio and let’s get to work #mobility #mobilityexercises #mobilitywork #mobilitytraining #mobilityflow #flexibility #yoga #yogalife #yogaflow #painfree

What I love the most about this movement is not just the fact that it mobilizes the entire body—from the neck, spine, hips, all the way down to the ankles. My favorite part is the sense of proprioception it brings, where I become deeply aware of how my body moves through space. Each intentional motion connects me to my body on a deeper level, teaching me to move not just with mobility but with purpose and mindfulness Do you want to see the easier modifications and the more advance version? I know it can be tricky and uncomfortable for some of is that might have knee issues as you can see one the transition does put a bit of the load and tension in the knees.

One of my favorite ways to train hip mobility, inner thigh strength and core activation while giving your lower back the support it deserves. This exercise looks simple, but it’s powerful: ✨ Strengthens inner thighs (adductors) ✨ Mobilizes the hips through internal rotation ✨ Activates the deep core + pelvic floor ✨ Helps your lower back feel supported and at ease How to do it: • Lie on your back with knees stacked over hips and shins parallel to the floor • Place a yoga block between your thighs (medium width works for most, narrower if your hips are slimmer) • Keep a neutral spine and gently draw your belly button up toward your heart • Without dropping the block, open and close your lower legs (shins) in controlled internal rotation 👉🏼 Focus on control, not speed. The block keeps your inner thighs fired up while your core and pelvic floor stay switched on. 📌 Save this for your next mobility session and share it with someone who needs happy hips and a grateful lower back. 💕 #hipmobility #corestrength #pelvicfloorhealth #yogadrills #mobilitytraining #movementpractice #yogaforbackpain #strengthandmobility #pilatesexercises #pilateslovers

Most people who want “feminine, lean, shredded” abs aren’t actually missing abdominal muscle — what bothers them is the layer of fat covering it. That’s why the saying “abs are made in the kitchen” is scientifically true. ⚪️✨ When you eat in a calorie deficit, your body mobilizes stored fat for energy. This process involves breaking down triglycerides in fat cells into free fatty acids and glycerol, which are then used by muscles and organs (Frayn, 2010, Physiol Rev). The abdominal region is one of the last places many women lose fat due to higher density of alpha-2 adrenergic receptors, which slow fat release compared to other areas. On the other hand, doing 1,000 ab exercises won’t “burn belly fat” in that region — localized fat loss is a myth (Vispute et al., 2011, J Strength Cond Res). Core training builds endurance and muscle tone, but unless body fat decreases through diet, those muscles remain hidden. So if your goal is lean, feminine abs (not bulky hypertrophied abs), the priority is nutrition. Training supports health, posture, and performance, but fat loss is driven primarily by energy balance and dietary consistency. ⚜️ Follow @MariNunesNutrition for more science-based fitness and nutrition strategies for aesthetics! #FitnessScience #AbsMadeInTheKitchen #CalorieDeficit #WomenWhoLift #ShreddedAbs This content is for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Comment “MOVE” and I’ll invite you to my 6-Week Beginner’s Movement Challenge to help you build the habit of moving every day 🤗 🙋🏻‍♂️ If your spine feels stuck, your shoulders tight, and your body disconnected, these 3 movements will help you restore fluidity, rhythm, and full-body awareness: 1️⃣ GORILLA WALK • Move low to the ground with hands-first steps while staying in a deep squat… • Builds hip mobility, core compression, and full body coordination • You’ll get stronger wrists, elbows, and shoulders as you move around more freely on all fours 2️⃣ JELLYFISH ARMS • Upright torso and stretch your arms out to the side, straight elbows. • Rotate your arms in opposite directions (one goes clockwise, the other goes counterclockwise) as far as possible • Releases tension in your shoulders, traps, and upper spine 3️⃣ CAT COW 360 • Flow through spinal flexion and extension while adding gentle circular motion… • Mobilizes your spine in every direction, and frees up stiffness in your mid spine • Unlocks stuck segments and restores smooth, connected spinal movement 🤗 Practice these for a few minutes each day and you’ll start to feel lighter, looser, and more alive in your body. ✨ The goal isn’t perfection, it’s consistency. Move a little every day and your body will thank you. 🫂 Share this with your friends and family~

Why walk in an 8-shape? This simple practice may look ordinary, but it offers powerful benefits for the brain and body. Walking in a figure-8 pattern promotes intra-hemispheric and cross-hemispheric coordination—which means it helps both sides of your brain communicate more effectively. This kind of movement activates the left and right brain simultaneously, improving: Focus and concentration Memory and learning Motor coordination and balance That’s why it’s especially helpful for children, older adults, or anyone dealing with brain fog, anxiety, or attention issues. Done barefoot, it also stimulates reflex points on the feet, supports digestion (when done after meals), and gently mobilizes the spine and hips. Do just 5–10 minutes a day. Walk slowly, mindfully—clockwise first, then anti-clockwise. It’s a quiet but powerful way to reset your system. #yogaforkids #holistichealth #figure8walk #cognitivedevelopment #yogaforkids #adhdawareness #adhdexercise Have you heard of this before?
