My grandkids love it," Lesley said. . "This is the entrance to my house so I wanted it to be special." . The path was constructed in sections on fibreglass mesh on Lesley's workbench, then adhered to the path with pool-grade adhesive, grouted and sealed. . "I get my tiles from where ever I can, I buy some from floor-covering stores, garage sales, people give them to me. I collect things that I think I may use whenever I see them not particularly having an end project in mind. Remember this drawing from 2018? Well… I’m still working on it! As I’ll be focusing entirely on my large still life over the next three years, I doubt there’ll be much visible progress on this one. But hopefully, sometime within the next decade, I’ll finally be able to share the finished piece with you. My passion for the ancient world has been shaping my work for many years now. This mosaic drawing is my tribute to that millennia-old art form and the incredible craftsmanship behind it. I apologize for the looooong time frame, but great things take time and I really can’t rush it. Most of my upcoming drawings will take between 5,000 and 10,000 hours to complete.
