Do you struggle with Nail Stamping? Then follow the steps below and you will have great results everytime! 1. ✨First of all nail stamping has to be done quickly✨make sure you have everything ready to go in front of you. 2. Apply Stamping Polish so it covers at least half of the image 3. Take a clean stamping scraper(very important as it insures your not scraping some of the image away with having old polish on the scraper) 4. Scrape the image quickly at a 45 degree angle. It’s ok to go over it with the scraper a couple of times if you feel the image has to much polish on it 5. Quickly grab your stamper and do a soft rolling motion over the image✨important do not push hard while you are rolling over the image✨ 6. Want to know the Biggest mistake you’re making when it comes to Nail Stamping? You see others doing it and it looks so easy, but for some reason your design just isn’t picking up, so you wipe it off and go again only to find the same result. Here’s what you could be doing wrong ⬇️ ▪️You haven’t cleansed your plate first with acetone ▪️You aren’t using the correct polish ▪️ Your scraping too much and removing the polish ▪️ Your pressing too hard These mistakes are all so easy to fix, so don’t give up on nail stamping. Instead do this ……. ✔️ Ensure the plate is thoroughly cleaned prior to use ✔️ Use stamping polish and use it sparingly, a little goes along way. Watch for tips & tricks on how to use nail stamps! It was my first time using them so you can see what NOT to do. Once I got the technique down (took less than 10min to figure out), it worked beautifully. Honestly these stamping palettes are amazing and would make such good backdrops to layer more designs over. I had some questions about whether normal polish would work and honestly haven’t tried it yet. I read that it would work but may not be as opaque since stamping polish is a lot more pigmented. If you’ve tried it, let me know how it goes in the comments! Main takeaways: DON’Ts - 1. Don’t use gel polish as the constant wetness will cause the lines to smudge when picking it up on the stamper 2. Don’t move slow with the stamping polish as it’ll dry out completely and you won’t be able to transfer the stamp 3. Don’t immediately top coat or the lines will smudge. Wait a few minutes for it to dry (I used a gel top coat). DO’s- 1. DO use the provided stamping polish! 2. Do move fast so the lines are able to transfer. The point of the stamping polish is that it air dries just the right amount to allow the lines to keep shape when transferring the print. But if you wait too long, it’ll be too dry. Find the happy middle (it’s not hard don’t worry!) 3. I top coated with a gel top coat after giving it a few minutes to dry. Let me know how it goes!! I was trying to explain to someone in a group chat how to use the double process stamping technique to add white polish on the back side of a stamp so that lighter colors and neons will be brighter and really pop, especially when done on a dark background color. First, apply your stamping polish as your base. Then float on a thick layer of gel, and stamp the same shade over top.
