The first step to take when hiring a nanny is to believe that there is a good nanny out there for you. This gives you the courage to say goodbye to the ones displaying red flags (especially when you are desperate). Perfect nannies don't exist. They are human just like you but good nannies are in plenty. I know people who have been with their nanny for over 24 years and counting. @judynyawira has had her nanny for over 12 years. This can be you as well. So, here are some additional tips to spot a nanny that isn't a fit for you:- ❌ They are not aligned with your values. They will be spending a lot of time with your children. This means that they will have a level of influence in your children's lives, therefore, ensure that at the core, you are aligned. ❌ Respect is important. If they start talking back at you during the interview - reconsider. ❌ Are they disinterested? If they look like they would rather be somewhere else, take caution. For example, if they answer questions poorly and they seem not to care. This is a red flag. What other red flags have you seen with previous nannies?

7 Years With the Same Nanny… Here’s What I Learned ❤️ It’s rare—I feel like everyone around me is always switching nannies, but ours has been with us for 7 years. And honestly, she’s family now. Here’s the truth: having a nanny is like any other relationship. It’s not about finding “the perfect person,” it’s about good qualities, respect, and communication. Nobody will ever be perfect—but if you can find common ground and work through the bumps, it can be the most rewarding bond. #momlife #parentingtips #grwm

@advicewitherin 😅 Why are the simplest questions often the hardest to answer!? [Comment or DM “INTERVIEW101” for resources!] Ugh, I hate how this question is low-key lazy. Like isn’t the whole interview about why you should hire me? Of course, my positive side is saying, “no, this is a great opportunity to give your elevator pitch + set the tone of the interview!” That’s why I developed this 3-part method for answering this question: 1. Hard Skills (technical aspects of the job you know how to do—softwares, processes, systems, certifications, trainings, education, etc.) 2. Soft Skills (personality, character & interpersonal strengths—proactive, collaborative, organized, leadership, etc.) 3. Unique Offering (what do YOU bring to the table that no one else does? This can be a great way to spin not directly-relevant past experience as a strength) ‼️ But the MOST important thing? Repeat the job description back to them. 👨🏻‍💻 ESPECIALLY if you’re interviewing with a recruiter (as opposed to someone from your future department). ✔️ Recruiters aren’t experts in what you do, so they listen for keywords to check boxes The job description is a roadmap! Use it to design your answers. You got this! 👏🏼 #job #jobinterview #intern #interviewtips

Save and share here is my story - Before I found my current nanny (who is honestly amazing), I made the mistake of hiring the wrong one… and I learnt this the hard way. I hired through an agency that promised “trained nannies,” but in reality, there was no real training. Basic things like hygiene, cleanliness, and baby handling were missing. Even after explaining multiple times, there were repeated mistakes — not washing hands after diaper changes, not maintaining cleanliness while cooking, small but important things. Comments over no sugar or salt, Why no kajal, blowing air in ears, etc. That’s when I realised — what feels “basic” to us is not always basic for everyone. So if you’re hiring, please don’t assume anything. Here are things you should clearly discuss and check before hiring: • Hygiene rules – washing hands every time she enters, before cooking, after diaper changes, maintaining cleanliness around baby, kitchen, bottles, utensils, bath area • Diaper routine – changing every 1.5–2 hours, not waiting for it to be fully wet, proper cleaning during diaper-free time • Baby care basics– oil massage, bathing, water temperature, products to use, how to handle the baby safely. No blowing air in ears after bathing etc • Feeding & cooking – preparing fresh meals (3–4 times a day), knowing meal patterns, feeding patiently, no force feeding, no playing and feeding etc • Daily routine – breakfast ready before baby wakes up, managing baby schedule, nap time support • Cleaning responsibilities – baby utensils, bottles, bath tub, baby clothes washing & ironing, cleaning floor during diaper-free time • Engagement with baby – actually playing, talking, taking baby for walks (if allowed), not just “watching” the baby • Phone usage – how much is acceptable during work hours CONTINUED IN CAPTION ⬇️✅ #nanny #daycare #motherhood #csection #breastfeeding ( Nanny in Bangalore.
