Just a reminder that dreams can always become a reality. Ever since I’ve been in grade school, I’ve always been laughed at, mocked, made fun of, and been told that I should have a different dream. At one point, I felt like giving up. If no is believing in me (besides my parents/grandparents of course), then should I even keep going. There was a little voice that said “get up; rise again.” If I wouldn’t have kept that dream and dealt with all the laughing, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today. I have put in hours upon hours dedicating myself to my career. Between school, projects, clubs, and holding leadership positions, I wouldn’t have what I do today. I’m blessed to have gotten all the experiences that I’ve had to put on my résumé. I have some pretty cool projects that excelled me into my internship/job. I worked hard on communication and saying more about me than just trying to show I’m the best. I connected with people. I used those connections to push me. I thank God every day that I did. Now, I can say I’m a NASA employee. I didn’t think it would come this fast. My dream became my reality. I’m doing a job I love working with people who inspire me. I’ve been with them doing a remote internship since May 2020. If you are being laughed at for a dream, don’t let that bring you down. People get jealous. People don’t want others to surpass them. You got this. You were made for it. Keep working, keep pushing, and keep excelling.
