❓تا حالا فکر کردی چرا بیشترمون همیشه دنبال «جایی دیگه»، «زندگی دیگه» یا حتی «خود دیگه‌ایم»؟ @zehne_saabz اینا ریشه در یه چیز عمیق‌تر داره... یه چیزی به اسم تفکر مراقبتی که اولین بار نل نادینگز (Nel Noddings) فیلسوف و نظریه‌پرداز آمریکایی، اون رو مطرح کرد. اون می‌گفت مراقبت یعنی حضورِ واقعی برای خود و دیگران، نه فداکاریِ کورکورانه. ولی تو جامعه ما، این تفکر یه جور دیگه رشد کرد… ما یاد گرفتیم که «خودمون» آخر صف باشیم، یاد گرفتیم که رضایت دیگران یعنی ارزش ما! نتیجه‌اش چیه؟ نسلی که خودش رو نمی‌فهمه، خودش رو قبول نداره، و دنبال معنا تو خاکِ غریبه می‌گرده… مهاجرت همیشه فقط به‌خاطر اقتصاد نیست؛ گاهی فرار از بی‌توجهی به خوده، از نبودِ احساس تعلق، از نسلی که یاد نگرفته “خودش” رو مراقبت کنه. 🪞 البته حواسمون باشه بقول معروف از اونور بوم نیوفتیم، یعنی به اسم خودمراقبتی، خودخواهانه رفتار کنیم #تفکر_مراقبتی #رشد_فردی #فلسفه_زندگی #خودشناسی #ایران #تربیت #کودک #ذهن_سبز #فاطمه_خزایی #مهاجرت #احترام_به_خود #آگاهی

Between motherhood, teaching, and being a student I haven’t had much time to read for pleasure lately. But I did come across some books that are important in my courses last term, so I wanted to share. Philosophy of Education by Nel Noddings: I am Alternatively Certified to be in the classroom, so I missed out on these foundational texts in my undergraduate time. This one helped me understand WHY I do some of the things I do, feel some validation, and also challenge some of the laziness I feel in my work occasionally. If you’re in education in any capacity and haven’t delved into your personal philosophy of education, I highly recommend this one. The Teacher Wars by Dana Goldstein: You need to read this. I don’t care what you do or what you believe about education. This is fascinating. I’ve wondered for years (since I started teaching) how education got into the dire situation it’s in right now. This book is fair, tells all perspectives, and lays down the history of our education system in precise terms. With everything going on in our country right now, this is good material to be aware of. Pudd’nhead Wilson and those Extraordinary Twins by Mark Twain: This one was interesting. Still Twain, but the story is more gripping than some of his… other work. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain: I’m actually good on this one. The House Behind the Cedars by Charles Chesnutt: An interesting view into race relations during the reconstruction era. Also gives important insights into gender roles and treatment in society at the time.
