If you have more time and are good on foot, you can make a detour via the Alp Wannelen. The picnic area next to the valley station of the Äsch-Oberalp cable car has a covered barbecue, wood supplies and a parasol. Those who rest here are below the Stäubi waterfall. Right next door is a chapel. Save this: Switzerland views I’d do again (and again) ❄️🗻↓ 1. Zermatt (Sunnegga & village strolls) Car-free charm, wooden chalets, and sunny terrace views that feel straight out of a snow globe. Take the Gornergrat Bahn, a cogwheel train to panoramic Matterhorn views (about 30 min ride), need I say more? 2. Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe Short stay, but big wow. Go slow, layer up, leave before altitude drama hits. (We didn’t get to see anything the day we went up, as the view was closed due to bad weather) 3. Grindelwald Waking up to this view was really dreamy every morning! Loved that it was super cold too. 4. Glacier Express (Andermatt → St. Moritz) A front-row seat to Oberalp Pass, Rhine Gorge, and the Albula Line. Windows doing all the work. 5. St. Moritz Sunny terrace, panoramic Engadin views, and the kind of silence you didn’t know you needed. We also went sledding with baby Ava; and tried out different panoramic restaurants like Paradiso. #switzerland
