First time horseback riding! I came to @ocean_view_stables to promote the new @apesmovies so here’s how it went: I went horseback riding for the first time just 20 minutes from the city out in the pouring rain, so here’s how it went. I swear this has a happy ending. I was invited by @20thcenturystudios to come to promote the new Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes at Ocean View Stables in Daly city. Fun fact: In the movie, the apes actually ride horses to get around. I had the worst luck with the weather, but I was determined to pull through. So I geared up and hoped on a horse named Hope. I feel like she manifested hope in me, because I surprisingly didn’t fall, and I did have a fun time overall. After practicing in the training area, we set off to the trail. It was so nerve wrecking at first going downhill on some steep inclines, but once we reached level ground, it was smooth sailing. I was even comfortable at some points riding with one hand while filming with the other, which I don’t recommend, but you gotta do what you gotta do for content. The costal bluffs were so beautiful. We ended with some @bluelinepizza , and that honestly revived me. A few days later, I came with a friend to watch an advanced screening of the movie at @amctheatres Metreon and it was phenomenal. By the end of the movie, I wasn’t sure if I was on team humans or team apes. It was so fun to watch and it’s in theatres now.
