Before the water could settle, the family’s golden retriever lunged into the air. ​The dog paddled furiously, using its body to buoy the struggling infant toward the stairs. Hearing the commotion, the father sprinted from the house and dove in, pulling his breathless son to safety. Later, the family watched the CCTV footage in stunned silence, realizing their loyal companion had acted as the ultimate guardian.

When I turned around, I saw that wave here and knew I couldn’t duck dive it so I took off my leash and went straight down underwater all the way to the reef. I didn’t got sucked over luckily but the boys in the lineup thought I did, but I popped back up right in the middle of them, ha. In a scene that could only happen in Baton Rouge, a gigantic alligator, easily the size of a car, has the entire Amite River on edge today! Citizens flocked to the riverbanks to witness this monstrous reptile sunbathing, while kayakers paddled by, seemingly oblivious to the lurking danger. The atmosphere is electric as locals cheer and gasp, especially when a curious dog ventures too close for comfort. Who knew a casual day at the river could turn into such a thrilling encounter?
