CINEPANALO GOES GLOBAL WITH FDCP The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) is set to help promote Puregold CinePanalo films abroad. Chairperson Jose Javier Reyes shared with radar Entertainment that the FDCP is fully backing CinePanalo — not financially (because, let’s face it, “ang dami nilang pera!”) — but by including the films in their international promotion campaigns. Reyes also praised CinePanalo for smart planning: “I’m glad nilihis ng CinePanalo ang festival date nila at ‘di sumabay sa Cinemalaya.” This year, the festival will run for two weeks in September, giving local films a bigger stage and more eyes worldwide.
