Hi, I’m Manya, known as @yourfuturepsychologist._, an aspiring psychologist. A panic attack isn’t “overthinking” or “being dramatic.” It’s when your nervous system goes into survival mode.. your chest tightens, thoughts race, your body feels unsafe even when nothing is actually happening. Many people suffer silently because they don’t have words for what they’re feeling. And no, you’re not weak for this. If you experience panic often, I offer listening-based support sessions (not therapy) with clear boundaries and ethics. 👇 COMMENT “PANIC” if you relate or want a guide. You don’t have to carry this alone. #panicattack #anxietyawareness #mentalhealthreels #psychologyeducation #nervoussystem overthinking healingmind yourfuturepsychologist

Dante and Elvine attempt to return the spy but discover he has a very…. intense relationship with how his superiors perceive him. Shouldn’t this guy be more afraid of them??? His captors??? Oh, Lark. We love you. You’re strange. Minor spoilers but Lark and Dante’s interactions are actually some of my favorites. I love the concept of two people with very high pressure jobs and a predisposition to distrust each other just being so over it that they end up being friendly. I bet it was NOT Pim’s favorite revelation but obviously he gets over it once he decides that everyone is chill now. I’m back! Still going to be slammed with work leftover from the holiday rush but happy new year :) going to try to get back into the flow of making videos slowly but surely!

Panic attacks feel like you’re dying. But neurologically, you’re surviving too hard. A panic attack is not weakness. It’s your threat system misfiring at full volume. Your brain detects danger where there isn’t one and activates the same circuitry designed to escape predators. What research shows: 1. The amygdala triggers the alarm The amygdala rapidly signals threat, activating the sympathetic nervous system before rational evaluation fully kicks in. 2. Adrenaline floods the body Heart rate increases. Breathing becomes rapid. Muscles tense. Blood shifts away from digestion toward large muscle groups. This is the fight or flight response. 3. Hyperventilation amplifies symptoms Rapid breathing lowers carbon dioxide levels, which can cause dizziness, tingling, chest tightness, and a feeling of unreality. The symptoms themselves become frightening, creating a feedback loop. 4. The prefrontal cortex temporarily loses control During intense fear, rational processing decreases, making it harder to logically calm yourself in the moment. 5. The episode peaks and falls Panic attacks are time limited. The nervous system cannot sustain peak adrenaline indefinitely. What this means: You are not losing control. Your nervous system is overshooting its job. The body is preparing to survive something that is not actually happening. And when you fear the symptoms, the cycle strengthens. Breaking the cycle: Slow breathing to regulate CO₂. Grounding techniques to reengage the prefrontal cortex. Gradual exposure to feared sensations to reduce sensitivity. Panic loses power when it stops being avoided. The deeper insight: The goal is not to eliminate fear. It’s to teach your brain that fear is survivable. Each time you ride the wave instead of escaping it, you rewire the alarm system. Follow @the_bodys_vibe if you want to understand your nervous system instead of being controlled by it. Fear feels overwhelming. But your brain is more adaptable than the panic it creates.
