How many times I said “find it”😂 This video was hard to film because I kept dropping the lipstick and trying to find it between each take ahh😭 It’s day 19 of disability pride month and today i’m sharing how blind people find some thing they dropped Video description: The video takes place indoors. I want to say this out loud. Even when people look up to you. Even if they think you’re strong. Going blind is still really hard. There are days I struggle. There are days I feel deeply sad and overwhelmed. And I never want someone watching from the outside to assume that I’m immune to that. Transparency matters to me because none of us should feel like we’re the only ones finding this difficult. Don’t walk on my blind side, I will bump into you 😆 I get so many questions about my right eye here’s some facts that answer some of them! 👁 I have a strong neck from all that turning around to see my right side and tilting to focus (probably...?) 👁I can’t see 3D films I just have to sit awkwardly with the glasses on and watch it in 2D. 👁I have no depth perception. EXCEPT I do because my brain is very clever and has filled in the gaps! 👁I have amazing aim but terrible at catching?? 👁It took me way longer than my peers to figure out balance and pirouettes in dance. 👁My left eye is working extra hard so sometimes I have to wear glasses for distance. I am worried about my eyesight for the future 😭 👁I can sometimes be a little clumsy 👁The whole right side of my body is stronger than my left because I think I naturally had to learn how to control it without particularly seeing it. 👁Again I CAN’T SEE ON THAT SIDE. If you’re talking to me in a crowded room, waving at me, smiling at me, even put up your middle finger at me from that side, I won’t see it 💁🏻‍♀️ I’ve been told I come off as rude sometimes but most of the times I probably just didn’t see you lol. 👁I don’t see black from the blindness. It’s nothing. Imagine trying to see out of your hand, it’s kind of like that. There’s even more but I’m running out of characters! . . #glasseye #retinablastoma
