Walking through the towering walls that rise up to 18 metres, makes this place seem otherworldly. Some say this hidden gorge was once a secret place of worship, giving it its name, Luds Church. ⛪️ Others believe it sheltered outlaws, even whispered to be one of Robin Hood’s hiding spots. Map screenshot at the end 🗺️ This is a beautiful walk in the centre of the Peak District which is perfect for when the sun is shining. It’s mostly flat but there is a steep-ish road you have to walk up part way around. 📍Litton, Peak District 🚗 The best car park is called Tideswell Dale SK17 8QH 🐕Dog friendly but there are sheep in places so dogs need to be put on a lead in these areas - there are a few stiles but maggie could jump over all of them. ⏱️ it’s about a 2-3hrs but I stopped to take plenty of photos. 🥪 The Red Lion in Litton is a perfect lunch spot. #uk #hiking #england #getoutdoors

Ladybower Reservoir in the Peak District is absolutely stunning and so easy to reach—just hop on a bus and you’re there! It’s the perfect spot to relax, soak in breathtaking views, and enjoy plenty of walking or cycling trails. Believe it or not… this is officially the smallest detached house in the world 👀 Thimble Hall once had a family of EIGHT living inside 😳 It’s even in the Guinness World Records - and when it sold in 1999, people from all over the world were bidding… even Uri Geller!
