The site of Six Flags America in Prince George’s County, Maryland, has been sold to an investment group that includes NBA superstar Kevin Durant, a native of the county, News4 learned.⁠ ⁠ The 515-acre amusement park closed for good in November. There has been much speculation about what might happen with the property and the best use of the land going forward.⁠ ⁠ The park, which had been open for decades, brought the county about $3 million in annual revenue.⁠ ⁠ County leaders have said they want new development that would operate year-round instead of seasonally and bring in more tax dollars.⁠ ⁠ The property is slated for a mixed-use development. It’s in effect on Fridays and Saturdays from 5pm to 5am for unaccompanied minors.
