Paisley is one of those towns, built on a flood plain with levees and dykes holding back most of the flood water. I must admit I find some humour in the daftness of an entire culture that listens so little to the land that they position themselves in a place of threat every single year just by poor placement of something so core to survival as a home. But Paisley is pretty. It used to be such a canoeing paradise. There used to be 3 outfitters here and we would come up and spend some amazing days on this river.
