I found this amazing 6 foot trellis with planter box and used my favorite faux trees from Amazon to fill it. The trees look so realistic in this planter box is 10 out of 10. I love the colors of it, it looks perfect for the space and covers the ugly concrete🤪 great for privacy walls too! After saying I'd never build another raised planter, I can't believe I've actually built another two AND a bench! I built them with breeze blocks (check out my previous reel to see how) and then got them rendered by someone else as I wasn't quite brave enough to try this! Here's how I built the bench: (Not necessarily the correct way but the way that worked for me!) - I made a frame out of treated timber, drilled holes into the planters, added rawl plugs and then screwed the frame in place. I also added some L brackets just for more security - Next I added some horizontal supports using the same treated timber and then stained the whole thing with @protekwoodstain in shade Hazlenut (just for more protection) - For the cedar top, I used an offcut I had left from the fencing from @contemporaryfencing (unfortunately I didn't have a bit wide enough for the battens to run in the same direction as the fence) - I cut the cedar panel to the width of the seat - I then removed the end support piece and reattached it at the depth I wanted before cutting this edge - For extra support, I then attached another batten in the middle - I had to cut it at a slight angle towards the back because I realised I hadn't built the planters 100% square and the seat is a tiny bit narrower at the back but after a bit of perseverance, I got it to a snug fit! - I then lightly sanded it all down for a smooth finish - To attach it to the frame, I simply screwed it in place between the slats - To finish the front off, I added individual cedar battens horizontally using external No More Nails and a small nail at each end - Finally I gave it all 2 coats of @osmo_uk in Clear I'm so pleased with how this has turned out and really quite proud that I can stand back and say "I built that!" Build DIY decorative planters with us using @volgapanels 🔨 I thought that this side of our garden was missing something, so we decided to turn this empty wall into a little feature. We used simple rectangular planters as a base. We then installed 3 x Volga Panels in the centre of each planter to create a slatted effect backing. We then proceeded to build a frame using some spare composite posts that we had from our recent garden renovation. Lastly, we put the plants in, filled the plant pots with white pebbles and added solar up & down wall lights to finish the look and TA DAAA ! Simple, but so effective! We went for the Natural Oak Slat Wall Panels from @volgapanels They are 100% waterproof, moisture proof, weatherproof, therefore they can be used both indoors and outdoors.
