We went to our local gardening store today to get some mulch & saw this mound of plastic eggs piled out front after their Easter egg hunt this morning. I can only assume this will all be going into the landfill. & next year, they will purchase MORE plastic egg garbage to simply throw away after a single use. Honestly, I hope I’m wrong. This plastic will exist on planet earth FOREVER. It will NEVER completely decompose. Even when it breaks down, it will break down into microplastics that persist in the environment indefinitely, contaminating our earth &, in turn, us.
