Stroke length of PMU machines are often confusing for new artists. As a rule of thumb - lesser stroke length results in softer shading & larger lengths are better for stark solid results. So depending on which area of brow you are working and your clients skin, you can adjust them, however for PMU - 2.5 to 3 works universally for most skin types and different types of work. Stroke length is basically how far the needle travels inside cartridge. The longer it travels, the harder it hits, the harder it hits- the more stark results get.
