The best view of the best city in the world 👇🏼🌇 If you want a spot that really makes you pause and take it all in, head to Point Ormond Lookout. Come around golden hour, walk up the hill and suddenly the whole skyline opens up in front of you. The bay, the city towers, the soft evening light… it’s one of those views that reminds you just how lucky we are to live here. Perfect for a beach walk along the Elwood Beach, letting the kids run around the grass, or just sitting for a moment watching the sun drop behind the city. And now it hits even harder… because Time Out just crowned Melbourne the #1 city in the world for 2026. Standing here looking at that skyline… yeah, we get it. 📍 Point Ormond, Elwood 🌅 Best at golden hour #melbourne #visitmelbourne #melbourneviews #melbournecity

We walked from Brighton to St Kilda with our two toddlers… and we were not prepared 😅 The route is about 8–9 km along the coast, so plan 3–4 hours minimum if you’re stopping at playgrounds (longer with little kids). There’s barely any up-to-date info online, so here’s what actually matters: What to bring: ☀️ Sun protection (almost no shade) 👟 Good shoes (easy paths, long walk) 💧 Water bottle (refill spots along the way) ⏰ Time (toddlers don’t rush) 🩱 Swim gear + towel (calm water, perfect for kids) The route: Start in central Brighton, grab a snack, then check out the colorful beach boxes. Coffee to-go and you’re off. The boardwalk is stroller-friendly, but busy with runners and cyclists. 🛝 North Road Foreshore Playground (Brighton): pirate ship, water play, shade… perfect first stop. 🌊 Elwood: relaxed beach stretch, great for a snack break. 🛝 Point Ormond Playground: huge, shady, picnic-friendly (with gas grills)…don’t skip this one! 📸 Point Ormond Lookout: quick detour for amazing bay + skyline views. Finish in St Kilda: pier, penguins (book ahead!), cafés, playgrounds and ice cream to end it right 🍦 Save this if you’re planning the walk with your family ❤️ #melbourne #visitmelbourne #brighton #stkilda #melbournedaytrip

If you are hitting the road these school holidays, lock in a visit to this iconic playground! Monash is famous in SA for its massive adventure playground that filled emergency departments long ago with its monster steel contraptions. Those days are long gone but the new playground is just as awesome, with loads of space and plenty of equipment for all ages. 2hrs north of Adelaide, this is definitely worth a save #adelaidekids #adelaidemum #kidsinadelaide #southaustralia #adelaideplaygrounds

Who’s been here & what did you think!? Rating: 4.5/5, would highly recommend for kids who love to run and climb and explore and then do it all again! Also great if you’ve got an older sibling & a toddler! Firstly, I know, I know, I’m late to the party for this one, but this morning we went to Officer District Park (Lansell Ave, Officer) & it was, in my kids words, EPIC!!! We got there at 9:30am & it was basically empty, we ended up leaving around 10:30am (the kids were hungry after going up and down that big hill) & the carpark had started to fill up. So, my guess is - get there early coz this park probably goes nuts! It featured flying foxes, trampolines, two giant slides, risky kids play equipment, toddler playing area, multiple levels of different play areas, a bbq area + tables (a birthday party was setting up as we got there!), climbing equipment & open spaces for the kids to explore. As it is in an estate, you could easily bring bikes/scooters and go for a little adventure on the foot paths too. We then went to @frankies_pakenham for a bite to eat and it was amazing! Great food + lovely staff! What park do you love and would recommend we try out next!? 😊

#MySDIRC proudly celebrated the ribbon cutting of the new Bright Spots Playground in partnership with Florida Power & Light. This space represents more than swings and slides. It represents what happens when community partners invest in our students and believe in creating environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive. We are grateful to Florida Power & Light for their commitment to our schools and to the many hands who helped bring this vision to life. #connecetedbycommunity
