I struggle with always trying to say the most politically correct things and they always come out wrong as well. But it’s always nice to watch somebody make the same mistake and #laugh at it. . . . . . . . . . #funny #comedy #funnyvideos #🤣 #😂 #life #jokes #funnyvideo

The difficulty of communicating leftist politics is that it is inherently complex. It requires systems level thinking that is much harder to access than simple blame-narratives. That’s why good political communication is more important than ever to reach others. Note that this is for conversations where the goal is to EDUCATE. This might not always be the goal of a conversation, and that’s ok. But, if it is, then from an educational standpoint, call-out culture is not a very good rhetorical strategy. Less moral policing and more empathy-centered communication is necessary to build effective solidarity networks #leftism #politics #communication #education

“I don’t do politics” — okay, but politics definitely does you. While you're scrolling memes, deals are being signed that decide your food prices, rent, and whether your country gets dragged into a war. Here’s why ignorance isn’t bliss — it’s expensive: 📉 When interest rates rise, it's not just Wall Street — it's your student loans and car payments. 💣 When conflicts escalate (Ukraine, Gaza, South China Sea), global supply chains shake and fuel prices spike. 🧠 And when laws pass in silence, freedoms shrink while you’re binge-watching Netflix. This isn't just global drama — it's your paycheck, your freedom, your future. Smart isn't just knowing what's trending — it's knowing who's pulling the strings. Stay informed. Stay loud. Stay sharp. Politics Touches Everything You Care AboutEvery single day, political decisions shape your reality:The price of your groceries, gas, rent, and electricity is heavily influenced by taxes, regulations, subsidies, and trade policies. Your job, salary, and career opportunities depend on labor laws, minimum wage rules, corporate taxes, and economic decisions made in distant capitals. Your children’s education — what they learn, how they’re taught, and even what sports they can play — is decided by school boards and government mandates. Your healthcare costs, insurance options, and medical freedoms are dictated by legislation and bureaucracy. Your ability to speak freely, own property, defend yourself, or travel without hassle is protected (or restricted) by laws and court rulings. When you check out, you don’t create neutrality. You create a vacuum. And nature (and power) abhors a vacuum. Someone else fills it — usually people who are very interested in politics, and often for reasons that don’t align with your interests.By saying “I’m not political,” you’re effectively saying:“I’m fine with whatever the most motivated and organized groups decide for me.” “I’ll let others control the rules I have to live by.” “My time, money, and rights are available for whoever shows up.” That’s not staying above the fray. That’s surrendering the field.History is full of examples where good, decent people who “didn’t do politics” woke up one day to find their freedoms gone, their savings wiped out, or their way of life transformed — all because they assumed someone else would handle it. Not everyone’s right—but almost everyone thinks they are. When political debates heat up, it’s easy to default to the narrative of good vs. evil. But Simon Sinek reminds us of a harder truth: nearly everyone believes they’re the good guys. That’s not just a platitude—it’s a psychological reality. Whether it’s the left accusing the right, or the right accusing the left, each side truly believes they’re acting in defense of something worth protecting. This doesn’t mean everyone is equally right or that all ideas are harmless. But it does force a shift: from assuming malicious intent to asking, “Where is their sense of good coming from?” Because most of our fights aren’t actually good vs. evil. They’re good vs. good, just defined differently. That’s what makes the conflict so deep, and so hard to solve. But if we want to get anywhere, we have to be more curious about how others arrived at their beliefs. Condemnation might feel righteous in the moment, but it rarely leads to clarity, let alone progress. #Politics #Humanity #Insight #Psychology #Democrat #Republican

Grammar isn’t neutral. It decides who gets to speak, who gets corrected, and who gets called “uneducated.” When we police language, we’re often policing people. Every rule has a history. Every “standard” has a power structure behind it. Language isn’t just communication. It’s control. And it’s also liberation. #GrammarIsPolitical #DecolonizeLanguage #EnglishTeachers #ESLTeachers #PowerAndPrivilege
