Part 4 of my freezer clear out challenge is here! I am spending $0 on groceries for 2 weeks and only cooking with items that I already have in my house. 👩🍳 Here is the recipe! White Bean & Ham Soup 2 Medium Carrots, sliced 4 cans great northern beans (drained & rinsed) 4 cups chicken bone broth 2 cups fully cooked ham, cubbed 1 teaspoon chili powder 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1 bay leaf Add all ingredients to crock pot, cook until all ingredients are heated through and carrots are tender. Discard bay leaf. Enjoy! *note. I used less beans in mine because I didn’t have more cans on hand. It was heavier on the broth this way. I’m doing this clear out in preparation for getting half a cow at the end of the month. I’m gonna need some freezer space for beef! This has been a fun challenge that is forcing me to get creative with recipes, be sustainable, and use what I already have. I’m saving money in the process which is icing on the cake to me! 🎂 Come along and hit the follow button so you don’t miss part 5! #nospend #budgetmeal #Recipe #frugalchallenge #savemoney

Sunday Dinner Series Week 1, 2026 🥣Butternut Squash Soup This was the first time I made this soup, the usual way I try something new: reading multiple recipes and then following none and using whatever I had on hand that was close enough. For a first time soup it was tasty, but a bit bland. I wasn’t sure how much spice would be enough or too much with the squash so I played it ‘safe’ and under seasoned. Next time I’ll add more of all the spices, and a bit more broth or water; this batch was the consistency of pudding when it cooled 😆 #SundayDinnerSeries #FrugalFamilyFood #SoupSeason #BennettsOnABudget
