This is the ABC method. It’s based in cognitive behavioral therapy techniques. Works well for people with ADHD. Note: everyone’s brain and life is different. Give this a try, then make tweaks so it fits you. 1. Make a giant list sorted into work and life 2. break down anything that you can’t do in one sitting and write them as subtasks 3. Three dots for A tasks: must be done today or tomorrow or there are serious consequences 4. Two dots for B tasks: less important, need to be address later this week 5. One dot for C tasks: least important, don’t need to be handled this week, can be tempting Grab an index card, write down your A tasks. Only look at the index card today Each evening or morning, reprioritize. Multitasking costs you your focus. You can get more done in 25 minutes focusing on one task than you do in an entire day spent doing many things at once. If you’re learning how to be more productive and how to be more intentional with your time this trick will help. Get a post-it. Write down the top 3 most important things you must do.
