At this point your pushup routine turns into cardio. This is why I recommend sticking with 6–15 reps of a harder pushup variation. You get more effective time under tension, more strength, and more muscle building potential. Think of it like this… Your body doesn’t count reps it only responds to mechanical tension. Progressing your pushup variations is just like adding weight to your bench every few weeks.
