RAMSGATE TO MARGATE. The UK coast is so underrated & is beautiful in the summer so if you have a free weekend you know what to do. Suggested itinerary: Hop on the direct train from Stratford International to Ramsgate Head to the big Waitrose (15 min walk) to pick up some picnic bits & start the coastal walk. You’ll walk past various beaches including Broadstairs beach, Joss Bay, Kingsgate Bay, Botany Bay so you can pick whichever one you like go stop off for a picnic but don’t leave it too late. The walk is about 4 hours finishing at Margate where you can head to @angelas_of_margate of_margate for a sublime seafood dinner. Catch the train back to Stratford International from Margate but be sure to catch the sunset first. This weather definitely calls for a trip to the beach ⛱ I went to Margate last week and got the bus to Botany Bay which is so beautiful 😍 My advice, don't waste time at Margate Beach like I did...instead head straight to Botany Bay! Just spent an amazing day at Ramsgate beach! 🌊 The sun was shining, and the sand was perfect for building sandcastles. 🏰 I could feel the stress melting away with every wave that washed ashore. 🧘‍♀️ Had a delicious picnic lunch with some yummy snacks and refreshing drinks. 🍉🥤 Took a long walk along the coastline, enjoying the fresh sea air. 🚶‍♀️ The sound of the seagulls was so peaceful. 🐦 Saw some cool shells and interesting rocks scattered along the shore. 🐚 Definitely a top spot for a relaxing getaway.
