In reception we are learning about making our own pattern rules and it’s a really fun unit for exploring being creative with maths. Teaching children that repeating patterns can be made with ANYTHING - in any shape or design. 🧮 This is a really fun one for children to do in pairs. One child creates a pattern and the other has to guess the rule, then they swap over. Learning new skills can be so fun and so discouraging all at once. I decided to dabble in making repeating patterns, but my digital art skills have always been remedial at best. I’ve always wrestled programs like Photoshop and Procreate, insisting on using the same 3 tools no matter the job rather than take the time to learn all the functions that are meant to make it easier. But slowly, with many YouTube videos, I am learning about things like clipping masks, and snapping, and some of those cool keyboard shortcuts. I am getting frustrated with it, but now that I have put this much time into it, I feel like I can’t quit because that time will have been wasted. We Repeat What We Don’t Repair✨ We are always creating attachments to someone, with relationships being the number 1 way we do so. The ego creates a story and memory of that part of our life. We create scenarios and stories about the experiences within that relationship. Sometimes when our relationship with someone else ends the story we have created, good or bad, continues to play in our mind. Over time the memories can change to erase the negative parts and make ourselves fooled to believe there were only happy times and there must be something wrong with us that they left. Or the story can shift and we forget all the happiness and only see the negative and put all the blame on the other person. Regardless, the memories and the emotions playing over and over in our mind continue to keep us Energetically Bonded to that person and situation. • Do you find yourself repeating the same patterns even though you have tried multiple things to change? • Do you experience people telling you how you should or shouldn’t be, act, like, etc? • Do you experience unexplained sickness? • Do you have consistent feelings of exhaustion, tiredness, confusion, depression, or sadness? • Do you have a hard time moving forward due to thinking about the past? • Do you often think of someone from the past been though you know that person isn’t someone you should have in your life? The moment you start observing, everything begins to make sense. Seeing is automatic. Observing is intentional awareness. You can look at someone every single day and still not understand who they really are. You hear their words, notice their actions, watch their behavior — yet completely miss the repeating patterns. True observation requires emotional intelligence and self-awareness. It means paying attention to inconsistencies, red flags, energy shifts, and what doesn’t align. It’s when you stop justifying toxic behavior and start accepting reality. People don’t suffer because the signs weren’t there. They suffer because they ignored what they already sensed. Awareness is what breaks toxic relationship cycles and protects your mental health. When you choose to observe, clarity replaces confusion. You stop romanticizing. You stop guessing. You stop betraying your own intuition. And once you truly see the truth through observation, you can never unsee it.

You already know you have to cut off the person who hurt you. That part isn’t new. What people avoid is the second cut. Cutting off the version of you that tolerated it, explained it away, or called a red flag “potential.” Until you look within and ask: Where did I attract this? Where did I abandon myself? Why did I say “okay” to something that was a hell no? Nothing changes. You don’t keep repeating patterns because you’re broken. You repeat them because there’s a wound asking to be healed, not defended. I know this because I’ve lived it. I’ve studied it. And I’ve watched it shift in client after client when they stop fighting the mirror and actually do the work. You can argue with this… or you can try it and let it change your life.
