One machine I will NOT ever live without is the Reverse Hyper from @westsidebarbellofficial ⠀ ⠀ Louie came up with the idea after he broke his back in 1973 doctors wanted to fuse disks take out bone spurs and stop him from lifting. This was obviously out of the question so he developed the RH this automatically alleviating pain and pumped up the spinal erectors while providing traction. ⠀ ⠀ This can be used as a corrective or a strength training tool to allow an athlete to keep progression going. ⠀ ⠀ Perform 100 reps total at 60% of your max DL 2-3 times per week or 3-5 sets of 15-20 reps with 40% for restoration! ⠀ ⠀ THE REVERSE HYPER CAN NOT BE DUPLICATED. YOU CAN FIND IT ON THEIR WEBSITE! 💪🏼💯⠀ ⠀ FOR MORE ONLINE PROGRAMING GO TO {LINK IN BIO} NOW 20% OFF!! 💻💯💪🏼🥊🥋⚔️⠀ ⠀ ____________________________________________________ @westsidebarbellofficial @roguefitness #reversehyper #reversehyperextension #backpain #strength #restoration #performance #stability #power #traction #backhealth #posteriorchain #darustrong @dsp_training_center @treasurecoastbarbell

#WednesdayWisdom The Reverse Hyperextension machine is a great way to isolate the hip extensors (hamstrings and glute max) as well as the erector spinae without use of the upper body. . For best results, focus on keeping your feet flexed and squeezing your glutes at the top of the motion as you lift the resistance. Try adding this into your next leg or lower body workout and let us know what you think! . . #goldsgym #goldsgymgreeley #personaltrainer #strengthtraining #fitnessgoals #reversehyperextension #legday #strengthgains #strengthtrainingmachine

Equipment Spotlight: The Reverse Hyperextension Machine. Reverse hyper extensions are often done to increase glute activation, hypertrophy, muscular endurance, and strength. Benefits of this machine include glute & hamstring development; better hip extension abilities, and general injury resilience in lower back and hamstrings. Movements like the reverse hyperextension allow for training the hamstrings and glutes in a similar movement pattern to deadlifts and other pulls from the floor without the added spinal loading. This is beneficial for those who have lower back issues, recovering from hard training, or for those looking to maximize lower back health. Perform higher reps (12-20) per set when focusing on restoration. If the goal is to increase strength and general hypertrophy, 10-12 reps can be done. Loading should be kept around 25-50% of ones best squat. Build a perky 🍑 and bulletproof your lower back with the Reverse Hyperextension!! #thegymparistx24h #paristx #gym

Reverse hypers aren’t a “maybe” for me, they’re a staple. I do them almost every time I train. And the machine is always open - I have never seen anyone else use it at the gym - a freaking travesty. Louie Simmons created the reverse hyper because his back was wrecked and he needed a way to decompress the spine while strengthening the posterior chain. It works because it does both at the same time. You’re training glutes, hamstrings, and low back while tractioning the spine every rep. That’s rare. And yes, I use momentum on purpose. Controlled momentum increases blood flow, pumps nutrients into the low back, and creates that decompressive effect Louie designed it for. This isn’t a slow grind lift. It’s about rhythm, traction, and restoring your back while making it stronger. If your lower back hurts, feels tight, or limits your training, reverse hypers aren’t optional. They’re insurance. Credit where it’s due, Louie Simmons changed back training forever.

Rogue Reverse Hyper Demonstration Widely utilized for physical therapy and back rehab exercises, the Reverse Hyper can also be used with light weights in everyday training to reduce lower back tightness and strengthen hamstrings, glutes, hips, and more. The Reverse Hyper decompresses the spine without enacting any vertical compression on it, allowing for dynamic strength development in the concentric phase. The spine is gently stretched and depressurized during the process, creating—in essence—an internal pumping mechanism, filling the spinal column with spinal fluid and the lower back muscles with blood. By strengthening the lower lumbar, athletes can improve their recovery times and endurance, allowing them to train longer with reduced soreness. RH movements can have similar benefits for the glutes, hamstrings, hips, and more. #fitnessjunkypcb

No Reverse Hyper? Try This👇 The Reverse Hyper is one of the BEST machines for building a strong low back. But the problem is, most people still don’t have access to one. And if you train at home… chances are you definitely don’t. But the benefits of this movement are so good that it’s absolutely worth finding a way to recreate it. And that’s where this variation comes in. This Swiss Ball Reverse Hyper is the closest setup I’ve found that replicates the movement and delivers very similar benefits. And the best part is, you only need a bench and a Swiss ball, so it’s super accessible. Just grab a bench and a firm Swiss ball (I prefer a 55cm), then roll onto it until your feet hang straight down. Grip the bench firmly, lock the ball in with your arms, and squeeze your glutes, hamstrings, and low back to lift your legs into extension. And that’s it… you’re doing reverse hypers! Now don’t get me wrong… the real machine is still the real deal. The platform fully supports you, the swing arm gives you better range, and it’s built for adding load, something that’s hard to replicate with a DIY setup. While you’ll never truly be able to replicate the load of the real machine, increasing your reps and volume is the next best thing. But all in all, if your gym doesn’t have a Reverse Hyper, this is definitely the closest alternative I’ve ever found.

Smith Machine Reverse Hyperextension 🔥🍑 I know this one looks a little weird, but it hits your upper glutes like craaazyyy while keeping pressure off your lower back! 💪 How to do it: 1. Set a bench under the Smith machine so your hips are right at the edge 2. Hold the sides of the bench and keep your ribs down (no arching) 3. Place your heels under the bar, toes slightly turned out and drive your legs up using your glutes, not your lower back. Think about thrusting your hips into the bench 5. Lift until you reach a comfortable squeeze, pause for 1 second, lower with control This is a great accessory to add at the end of your workout! I do 3 sets of 12-15 reps If you try this, go light at first. It’ll humble you fast (you can see it in my face 🤣) #gluteworkout #glutetraining #upperglutes #glutebuilder #glutegains #legdayworkout #hamstringglutes #glutefocus #gluteaccessory #reversehyper #reversehyperextension #smithmachineworkout #womenwholift #girlswholift #fitwomen #gymtipsforwomen #fitnessforwomen #strengthtrainingforwomen #bootyworkoutideas #bootygains #glutetutorial Would you try this?
