(4/4) Rex Ogle, author of Road Home, offers advice to anyone forced from home for being gay: "Reach out, do not hesitate, if you are scared, if you are in danger, if you feel alone, or feel like your life isn't worth it anymore. Reach out to someone because there are peple out there who can help you. There are resources that did not exist when I was around, or if they did, I didn't know about it. The Trevor Project is an amazing organization, especially for queer yourth. They have resources. They can find the closest shelter for you to go to. And, of course, they have people when you're having suicide ideation that will talk to you and help you through and find the next steps to get to a better place in your life. There are a lot of bad things that happen to good people. And there's always a way to overcome it. We all go through dark periods. Everything changes all the time.
