Ring Sling Tips | how to use, breastfeed, and some practical tips Here I am using the @heritagebabydesigns ring sling- I would highly recommend the brand in general, they are a fantastic option. Any plus size individuals will also find a really great fit with the brand. Those who are very petite will have extra fabric to work with (pros and cons depending on what you want to do!) This is with my 2-month-old baby who is a little over 10 lb. This video is slightly sped up but I will also be posting on YouTube where you can slow it down! I will update in stories as soon as it goes live on YouTube! #babywearing #ringsling #letstalkbabywearing #babywearingmama #breastfeedingmom #breastfeedinginacarrier

Ring Sling Back Carry (Flipped) ✨ I love this carry because it’s quick, practical, and has saved me so many times in everyday life , especially now in pregnancy. 🤍 For a toddler, it’s perfect: I can get her onto my back in seconds, she’s high, secure, and the weight spreads nicely across my body. And my favorite part? If she wants to nurse, I just bring her to the front, and when she’s ready, I flip her back ,no unwrapping, no difficulty 💗 The flipped back carry with a ring sling gives better support and prevents leaning to either side. 💬 Would a quick back carry like this help you with your toddler? #Babywearing #RingSling #BackCarry #Toddlerwearing #Pregnant

Ooh I love a ring sling for quick up and downs. And weddings! They always make me feel a bit glamorous, even when covered in crumbs and/oe baby sick. This stunner is from @didymos_babywearing feels HEAVENLY. It took me absolutely bloody ages to learn to love ring slings, but it was totally worth persisting. No, they're not realistically as comfy as a regular 2-shouldered carrier. But when you find that sweet spot, they're an excellent 'and also' carrier. Want a pretty one? Keeping your little one close and cozy in a ring sling? Here are three tips for a safe and comfortable experience: 1) Ensure your baby has a deep seat. 2) Cap the fabric over your shoulder for proper support. 3) Keep your baby close enough to kiss. Happy babywearing

"So why should I get one, if I already have ring slings (RS)/wraps?" is how some conversations have gone with some of my wrapper friends, when discussing the @hippiejoeyco (HJ). I often talk about how the HJ is a great entry type carrier for people starting babywearing, as it doesn't have any buckles, rings or complicated straps. But if you already know how to wrap or use an RS, why would you want to get one? I am a big fan of RSs, but I definitely reach for my HJ quite often. Here are some reasons why: ▫️The two actually share many similarities in that they allow a simple, one shoulder carry, great for quick ups and downs ▫️They also both have great longevity, as both of them are suitable from newborn to toddlerhood (depending on the blend for the RS) ▫️One of the main reasons why I often bring along my HJ for trips, is because it packs down so small. Yes, RS also pack down small, but the HJ is even smaller. When you have a toddler who has unpredictable carrying requirements (sometimes nothing, other times demanding to be carried the whole way), then it's at least a small, low weight item that doesn't take up much space, but is good to have on standby. ▫️It's easy to clean. Of course you can wash your RS in a washing machine too, (provided the blend is suitable for machine washing, and you put a sock over the rings), but since the HJ is made out of simple jersey material, washing it is no different to washing a T-shirt. You don't have to worry so much when using it, unlike with 100 % Wool or silk RS blends! ▫️No long tail. Now, I love a long and glamorous tail when the occasion calls for it, but sometimes it's just not that practical. For example, under thick winter coats, or when going to places like the swimming pool, where you wouldn't want the tail trailing along on the wet changing room floors. ▫️Easy to replace. Not that you'd ever want to lose your HJ, but if the worst should happen, they are much easier to replace than OOAK handwovens! So I much prefer to take my HJ to busy places like kids parties. Ring Sling With Newborn Head Support Tutorial! Watch my first video- Ring Sling Tutorial to see how to get baby in the sling! *I’m not an expert! Just sharing how I use my sling

I love wearing toddlers in a ring sling 💗 #babywearing #momof2 #toddlerwearing #ringslingtutorial #ringsling

As a self-proclaimed babywearing queen 👑 I love my carrier. But I get asked all the time why I’d still use a ring sling when I already have a carrier — so here’s when I choose it 👇🏻 👉🏻 Naps in hot countries or Canadian summers Less bulky, more breathable, no waistband, and cooler for baby 👉🏻 Going out for dinner So much easier to pack, baby sits on the side (not the front), and it’s way more comfortable for eating + slipping in and out. 👉🏻 Cooking or cleaning Having baby on the side makes things like dishes and tidying way easier. 👉🏻 Helping them fall asleep It’s quicker than a carrier, and if they fall asleep you can sit down or transfer them easily since it comes off in seconds. I love both — I just choose the one that fits the moment 🤍 Anyone else ring sling obsessed? #babywearing #ringsling #babynap #travellingwithbaby #postpartumlife

Not pictured: nursing on the go! The ring sling is so incredibly versatile, quick to put on, and can be used from newborn to toddler. It makes life with baby so much more seamless, I consider it an essential in my mothering toolkit. Choosing between holding my baby and making dinner is a battle I rarely need to face. Life keeps going, baby right there with me. Cooking, walking, dancing at weddings!! Comment SLING for the link! 🤍

really thought I’d be that effortless ring sling mom, but honestly, I think I’m doing this wrong. I love my new Hope and Plum sling so much, but something feels off. Babywearing is supposed to make this easy, but I’m over here struggling in the trenches. If you’re a pro, please tell me what to fix in the comments! #babywearing #ringsling #MomLife #Motherhood #ringslinghelp
