Honestly I lose things all the time! 🙈 it’s definitely become worse since becoming a mum… but I think the toddler may be rearranging things too nowadays, so I have some excuse! My ring sling is always a favourite because I can wear it all day and store it on a door handle… no last minute scramble to find it! Lots of people have been trying ring slings lately so a little reminder of why they are something I love ❤️❤️ As with any sling, you need to pick something you truly love and can see yourself wearing. For some of you, something simple and one colour is what you prefer, but personally I love a busy woven design! Although a one shoulder carry, did you know that the fabric that spreads across your back also helps spread the weight of your baby across your back. So you might be surprised with how comfortable they can feel! Although ring slings vary in length, generally a standard length suits most people. However, if you have a larger stature or are looking to carry a larger child then you will potentially need to look for a longer length. Different fabrics can also work better for different people. A cotton woven is a great place to start, with silk blends like this @oschaslings a great option to consider if you want a slightly different feel. For younger babies the @melliapisuk muslin ring slings are a great option as they are lovely and thin. Finally, shoulder type: 🔹Gathered 🔹Pleated 🔹Highland pleat Gathered shoulders spread more across your shoulder, helping to cap it in place, but some people find this restrictive. Pleated and highland pleated shoulders are more cushioned, but do not cap your shoulder in the same way- giving a very different feel.
