Hey everyone — it’s been a while, and here’s why. I’ve been working on a new series where I’m attempting to make a video game from start to finish, and I’ve been busy getting a whole bunch of content ready. The industry needs you. 🔥 I just felt the need to share this as I feel the industry is still in such a weird spot with markets being overruled and quite frankly not that much excited news as we always used to have..��It might feel like the industry is in a strange place right now.� But creativity is still alive. Passion is still here.� And the love for games isn’t going anywhere. I can’t wait to see it thrive again, the way it always does. And as I always like to tie my captions to a quote, I chose this one for this occasion: “The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson I just love it as we developers can be seen as the acorn, and we can make the difference to allow the industry to thrive again. The hardest part of gamedev is different for each person, but for me, the hardest part of gamedev is the coding. I have about 20 years of experience with 3D, animation, rigging, etc. but only about 5 years of experience with coding.

Friendly reminder; keep creating! 👨‍💻❤️ “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” — Maya Angelou With today's state of the industry I can totally understand so many game developers and programmers are struggling to enjoy because of all uncertainties. I faced the same when I was laid off.. And I can't even imagine how it is for juniors.. But it's important to remind yourself why you started and keep doing what you love. Stop thinking about the uncertainties and start thinking about the possibilities (even though the possibilities are low). 😉 For me it's always kinda simple. Always when I feel down, less creative, or just drained by uncertainties. I think about how I felt when I started. How I felt when I jumped into the unknown and was fascinated by all the little things I found. Because I believe that spark is never gone. It may be overshadowed, but never truly gone. And when I can just get a glimpse of that feeling again, I am always able to motivate myself to create something again. 🙌 So, whenever you feel down. Go back to the time you had that spark and try to remove the shadow from it. Start enjoying again and care less. Just do what you always enjoyed, just keep creating.
