Zachary Rolfe says the decision was "right" after he was cleared of all charges over the fatal shooting of Kumanjayi Walker. Constable Rolfe, 30, showed no emotion as the verdict was announced in the NT Supreme Court. Afterwards, he smiled and hugged his defence lawyer and family. The jury returned following just under seven hours of deliberations. 🌙🌙 @horrorxempire Mr. Sardonicus (1961) Mr. Sardonicus is a 1961 horror film produced and directed by William Castle, based on the short story “Sardonicus” by Ray Russell, who also wrote the screenplay. It stars Oscar Homolka, Vladimir Sokoloff, Guy Rolfe and Audrey Dalton. It tells the story of Baron Sardonicus, a man whose face becomes frozen in a horrifying grin while robbing his father Henryk Toleslawski’s grave to obtain a winning lottery ticket. Castle cited the film in his memoir as one of his favorites to produce. Mr. Sardonicus was theatrically released by Columbia on October 18, 1961. It played on a double feature with Valley of the Dragons (1961) beginning on October 25, 1961. Did you know? - When Sir Robert first arrives at Castle Sardonicus, the castle is in view in the background. The lighted windows make the castle look like a skull. - The British version of this film was cut by about five or six minutes altogether, and the main cuts were very curious. All references to ghouls and their activities were deleted , including the two important moments in the film where the word is defined. The shot of a girl’s face covered in leeches was deleted, despite shots of leeches on a human body had been retained in The African Queen (1951) over a dozen years earlier.
