Tattoo aftercare tips using second skin: Leave the second skin for around 2-3 days, it will protect your tattoo from dust and bacterias and help with the healing process. After 2-3 days gently peel the the second skin away with clean hands (recommended to do it under warm running water) Once removed the second skin, wash the tattoo with a bit of unscented/delicate soap. Do not scrub the tattoo, pat dry with a clean towel or kitchen roll and leave it to completely dry for 30 min. After cleaning-drying the tattoo apply a thin layer of tattoo aftercare cream, if you dont have one you can use 100% coconut oil, fragrance free natural moisturiser, Shea butter You will need to clean and apply moisturiser everyday for around 2 weeks. During the first few days of healing wear loose clothing to avoid the tattoo rubbing against the fabric or sticking to it. Do not soak the tattoo in the bath, sauna, hot tub, swimming pool for the first 2 weeks. Showers are fine (short showers recommended for the first week) Do not pick or rub or scratch the tattoo area while it’s healing, this can provoke a loss of color or an infection could occur. Please treat your new tattoo as an open wound and don’t let your family, friends or pets to touch it till fully healed, and every time you’re going to wash it and apply aftercare do it after washing your hands. just a few tips on what I do to keep my tattoos looking fresh and bright!! ✨ a good tattoo artist is the most important! especially one that has work visible on skin tones like yours! I also love seeing healed vs fresh work! ✨ first three days wash with antibacterial soap (I like the @dove one) morning and night and apply a thin layer of @aquaphor ✨ after the first three days apply a thin layer of fragrance free lotion like the @naturium or @byoma ✨ once healed, a regular body care routine with hydration, moisture, exfoliation (like the @topicals ) will help so much! ✨ most importantly PROTECT WITH SPF like the @coola and @blackgirlsunscreen Sound off any other tips below!!! #tattoos #tattoocare #bodycare #estheticiantips #skincare
