I'm certified obsessed 😍 This waterfall is a little over 1,100 feet underground inside a mountain and believed to be the tallest and deepest underground waterfall in the U.S. To get to the waterfall, you take an elevator 260 feet down into the cave, walk through the cavern trail, and then suddenly...the waterfall is revealed with dramatic lighting. It simply takes your breath away! It's also surreal when you think about it. A waterfall this massive hidden inside a cave feels like something taken out of a fairytale book, but yet, here it is. I’m from Chattanooga and somehow still underestimated this. Ruby Falls is a 145 ft waterfall hidden 1,120 feet beneath the surface of Lookout Mountain and somehow even more breathtaking in person. The tour takes about an hour and it’s cooler inside, so bring a light layer.
