Each piece carries centuries of craftsmanship, cultural identity, and intention—elements that truly transcend time and place. Thank you to @samsungus for inviting me to DC to see “Korean Treasures” at the Smithsonian! I was inspired by these silk painted fans (before 1919 & 1921) & traditional Korean paintings. As an incense maker, I wanted to merge those references and created incense papers with crane motifs on Korean hanji paper and developed a custom fragrance.
