Leia primeiro antes de comentar 👇: Sandfall Interactive diz ter 33 funcionários na empresa (o que é a verdade), mas isso é muito diferente de afirmar que "o jogo foi feito por apenas 33 pessoas" igual eu acabei lendo em alguns posts em redes sociais. A resposta correta é: a equipe principal tem 33 funcionários apenas, mas a empresa contratou diversos outros funcionários para auxiliarem no desenvolvimento do projeto (o que é completamente normal na indústria). Um jogo com um orçamento de supostamente 10 milhões de dólares se enquadra na categoria "Jogo AA (double-A)". Esse orçamento extrapola extremamente o escopo do que é considerado um jogo indie. Os únicos critérios que categorizam se um jogo é Indie, A, AA ou AAA são em primeiro lugar o orçamento total (custo em dinheiro do projeto) e em segundo o número de funcionários envolvidos no projeto. Jogos indies geralmente ficam abaixo de 200 mil dólares de orçamento, diferença enorme se comparado com os 10 milhões de dólares do Expedition 33. Achei extremamente digno e merecido Expedition 33 ganhar o GOTY, é um tapa na cara de empresas AAA com orçamento muito maiores mas que entregam jogos ruins e não-polidos no lançamento, mas Expedition 33 ganhar prêmios de categorias de jogos indies é injusto e se trata de uma atitude de má fé que se aproveita de um jogo de palavras que confunde quem não sabe desses detalhes da indústria de jogos. A culpa disso é especificamente do evento The Game Awards, que colocou Expedition 33 em duas categorias que deveriam ser exclusivas de jogos indies. Sandfall Interactive não está errada nesta situação. Sobre as outras premiações de Clair Obscure, pessoalmente achei justas e a premiação de GOTY eu achei super merecida. Ou seja, eu achei o jogo excelente, só essa situação que foi estranha mesmo e prejudicou os jogos indies das categorias de premiação.
