Ever questioned why your child does things repeatedly and wondered if it was a sign of autism? Well it might have been schematic play! G3 is currently in the positioning schema! đŹ Let me know if you would like me to share more information about schemas by putting a đđŒ in the comments! #learningthroughplay #schemas #sensoryplay #toddlerlife #toddleractivities #playathome #earlyyears #autism #autistic #preschooler #playmatters #parentingtips #playbasedlearning #independentplay

Play schemaâs are a pattern of actions or thoughts that can be used to understand the different ways that children experiment and explore the world around them. You will be able to see these emerging in toddlers and will be present until they are around 5/6 years old. TRAJECTORY is all about exploring how objects move. Your child will be enjoying balls, throwing and dropping toys as well as jumping off things. ENCLOSING is about joining lines and creating enclosures around objects. Your child will be loving building fences around toys, drawing borders around artwork and running in circles around objects. TRANSPORTING speaks for itself, its all about transporting, moving and exploring objects. Your child will be loving moving objects from place to place using their hands, vehicles, bags or trolleys. ENVELOPING is all about hiding and wrapping objects... or themselves! Your child will be covering themselves or objects with different materials such as building forts, wrapping objects in silks or paper, dressing up, putting things in a bag or painting their hands. ROTATION is all about twisting, spinning and rolling objects or themselves! Your child will be loving spinning tops, twisting ribbons, rolling down hills, and spinning in circles. POSITIONING is all about placing items in a certain place, ordering and arranging. Your child will be loving positioning objects in a line or may be very specific about where everything should be placed. CONNECTING is all about joining and linking objects together! Your child will be loving forming chains, linking, buckling and also tying objects together. This can also be the process of connecting and disconnecting objects. ORIENTATION is all about looking at things from different perspectives. Your child will be loving looking at things upside down or through their legs, they may even climb to get a look from above. #therapiedesschemas #schemas #enfantvulnĂ©rable #psychotherapie #adultesain #psychologie

Last week, I introduced our Article of the Week routine, and my students are already hooked! We started by learning about schemasâI tell my kids theyâre like a filing cabinet in your brain. The more you read, the more files you have to store and connect new information. đïž To help them understand how schemas work, we: đș Watched a quick YouTube video about schemas âïž Answered 3 guiding questions: What is a schema? Why is it important to build them? How does reading help me build more schemas? Students use a digital schema filing cabinet (our slide deck!) to record their new understanding each week under categories like Myself, My World, History, or Other. By the end of the year, theyâll be able to look back and actually see how much theyâve grown as readers and thinkers. đ Comment AOW to grab my article of the week worksheets for the entire school year in my TpT â€ïž #middleschoolela #articletheweek #readingstrategies #schemas #teachersofig

When we support schematic play, we create an environment where children are active protagonists in the learning process. They freely engage with materials and construct knowledge independently and in connection with peers and adults. To learn more, get my book, âSnapshots of Schematic Play.â Comment âbookâ and Iâll send the link. #reggioinspired #play #schemas #earlychildhoodeducation #teacher

Understanding and recognising attachment triggers is crucial for personal growth and healthier relationships. Here are some tips to help you notice these triggers in your own life: Awareness of Emotional Responses: Start by paying attention to your emotional reactions in various situations, especially in interactions with others. Notice if certain actions or words from others evoke strong emotional responses like anger, anxiety, or sadness. Patterns and Recurrence: Look for patterns in your reactions. Do similar situations consistently lead to intense emotional responses? Identifying recurring themes can help pinpoint specific triggers. Reflect on Past Experiences: Reflect on your past relationships and experiences. Are there particular moments or events that still provoke a strong emotional reaction when you think about them? These could be unresolved issues that act as triggers. Physical Sensations: Sometimes, attachment triggers manifest as physical sensations such as tightness in the chest, rapid heartbeat, or a lump in the throat. Pay attention to these bodily reactions as they can indicate an emotional trigger. Self-Observation: Practice self-observation without judgment. When you notice an emotional reaction, take a moment to pause and reflect on what triggered it. Consider journaling your thoughts and feelings to gain deeper insights. Identify Core Beliefs: Attachment triggers often stem from core beliefs about yourself, others, and relationships. Common beliefs include fear of abandonment, rejection, or not being good enough. Understanding these beliefs can help you recognize why certain situations trigger you. #attachment #triggered #attachmentstyles #attachmenttraumaandhealing #attachmenttriggers #emotional #beliefs #insecureattachment #schemas #secureattachment #attachmenthealing #attachmentinjury #emdrtherapy #trauma #fearofabandonment #notgoodenoughforyou #connection #dr.jenni clinicalpsychologist #healingjourney #anxiousattachment #anxious #avoidantattachment #psychologist #instagram #psychologistofinstagram #personalgrowth

Lining toys is part of positional schema also and so is a part of typical development. So, itâs important to look at overall picture or development. Lining toys can be seen in autistic children. Yet there are many other signs in the overall development like : đ” Delay in milestones or đ Achieving milestones towards the later part of range with few missing! đą Not able to interact socially or đŁ Having very limited circle, đĄ Keeping to themselves and not observing other children , đ” Repetition of the same activity over a long duration and almost everywhere. đ Increase in dysregulation when the child is overstimulated, like loud noises, too many people, bright lights. Just know that all these things like spinning lining the toys, following a schedule, getting disturbed by changing schedule, overstimulation with loud noises, bright lights etc. can happen with any child. So itâs important to see the overall development, look at all the milestones and not just one one single thing. Knowing about types of play and age for that type of play of helps for you to not worry with too much information! For eg. on looker play - in this child observes other children but doesnât play or engage with them which can be seen in 0-1.5 years of age parallel play - when they observe and copy other children but do not play with them, 1 - 2/2.5 yrs. Ps. Check previous posts for more knowledge on this! I hope this helps :) #connecting_milestones #liningtoys #positioningschema #schemas #schĂ©ma #spinning #signsofautism #autism #autismawareness #childdevelopment #childdevelopmentspecialist #newparentfear #parentfear #momfear #momfears #momstruggles Autism | autism awareness | child development | baby milestones | signs of autism | lining toys | typical development | normal development | child development | milestones | new moms | new parents | parent fears | spinning | spinning child
