A wonderful human being, friend, former student @hollieawillingham is expecting a baby boy and she and her amazing husband Jake have been so kind to our little family. Helping care for our cats, she was Picasso’s nurse in the hospital, so I needed to make her a special gift. They love their cats and one of the themes for their baby boy is cowboys, so I had to make a cowboy kitty! So first I drew him up on paper, then brought into the computer to clean him up and print on transparencies. Instead of burning the screen at home, I joined my friend @anotherkirkread at @iprc_pdx to burn my screen. I did test prints in my sketchbook, the printed on the onesies and tote bag. I noticed they didn’t pop as much on some onesies, but I had an old screen of circles (surprise!!) so I used some circles as a background. I filled the tote with tissue paper and rolled up each onesie with ribbon and brought them to her baby shower today. About a month long project and it was completely my honor. Wishing only the best for Baby Willingham🥰
