New Silver Fox rabbit litters. They are 3 days old and their eyes won't open until they are 10 days old. There are 8 in this nest box, all snuggled together. When I uncover them, they think it is their mother come to feed them so they jump. When she feeds them, she uncovers them then carefully lays down so they can feel her belly. Then they jump and wiggle until they can latch on to a nipple and nurse. They lay on their back and nurse until they are full. Then the doe gets up and covers them up with the lovely soft fur, tucking them in until the next time she feeds them. These are Susie's babies. Ils ont trois jours et leurs yeux ne s'ouvriront qu'à dix jours. Il y en a huit dans ce nid, tous blottis les uns contre les autres. Quand je les découvre, ils croient que c'est leur mère qui vient les nourrir et ils bondissent. Quand elle les nourrit, elle les découvre puis s'allonge délicatement pour qu'ils puissent sentir son ventre. Alors ils sautent et gigotent jusqu'à pouvoir téter. Ils se couchent sur le dos et tètent jusqu'à ce qu'ils soient rassasiés. Ensuite, la lapine se lève et les recouvre de sa douce fourrure, les bordant jusqu'à la prochaine tétée. This sweet boy is in urgent need of a foster home. He is a two-year-old Silver Fox rabbit who was bred for meat and needs work on socializing. He’s as sweet as can be though. Needs a quiet environment and daily socializing while he waits to be neutered. Frosty was rescued today after being hit by a car. He was so hot when he arrived that we treated him as if he was having a heat stroke episode. Welcome to Avalon, Frosty.
